  1. Nope...I'min suburban Boston and I see it. I actually use it a lot, but not on dark solid colors. You can definitely see it on dark colors, especially a solid black. I've used it on a dark pearl green and you can't see it, as it blends into the pearl. But on gloss black its there.
  2. I do it on every model. My opinion is that no model had deep enough panel lines...real cars its a gap so the deeper the better. I do it until i can see the line start to form slightly on the back side.
  3. The wet look should spray on glossy clear right from the can... As long as its not humid which will potentially fog up any lacquer paint job. If its not glossy I'd hit it with Maguires cleaner polish (wax). However it really should go on very glossy...
  4. dixieart.com you can get a badger 175 for $75 delivered. I have had mine fixed twice, for free. All you need to do is send it to Badger and they will fix it and ship it back...all it costs is for you to send it. That's the route I would take. I love my 175. I swear by it.
  5. I can't wait to build the Mustangs and the Camaro. Very exciting !
  6. They are some of the nicest people I've met in the modeling community. I wish them both the best.
  7. Harry its an older Tamiya Kit. Tom's is the decal sponsor on the car.
  8. This was built from the Tom's Toyota kit from the 80s.
  9. Nice build. I always liked those kits and I am surprised they never came back out.
  10. I love this ! Excellent
  11. Gee whiz...like someone else said, did you marry her when she was 5 ? Congrats.
  12. me too...though I only have 45 - 50 unbuilt kits so its not that hard LOL..
  13. This started from the Motorcraft Mustang GTO from the 80's. I built the Folgers car years ago and I loved it. It took me 20 some odd years to build another one, and this paint schema has been in my head just as long. The forum Fox community build provided the inspiration to finally do it. Maybe I'll build another one 20 years from now
  14. Great looking build. I love the Miura & Jota ! JJ
  15. You mean a notchback ? Is Revell releasing a notchback ? like this ?
  16. I had a friend with an Amphicar back in the 80s when I was in school in Ithaca NY. We had a blast in that thing...lots of empty beer cans lol
  17. This has a couple coats of Testors Wet Look clear, then polished smooth with Micro Mesh. The Scale Finishes stuff needs a clear coat to shine.
  18. I'm fairly sure GE Medical Systems does not outsource manufacturing to China or Mexico or whatever like the textile-clothing industry, model cars, etc. They do manufacture out of the US for some stuff, but thats because they bought that company and it was already where it was...France or whererever.
  19. Finally finished this one. Scale Finishes paint, Modelhaus Steelie wheels and red line tires. Caps are from Mark Nellis which I chromed with the "Ginsu powder stuff". I dirtied up the chassis to make t look like a typical driver...shiny paint and a realistically not so perfect undercarriage.
  20. wow I've never sen a Fairmont in scale. That's wild. Looking forward to this one.
  21. that chassis looks awesome !
  22. Wow soooo clean ! Where did you get those Rally wheels ?
