  1. love the steelie wheels and dog dishes !
  2. exactly...same products sold as other stores at a lower price doesn't equal ripping off on my street. I never get the Wal-Mart haters. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the worls, and its an American company that probably employs half a ba-jillion people. I love Wal Mart, and yes I bought lots of those 5 dollar kits too. So shoot me LOL
  3. yeah I know...I really had to talk myself into putting them back that far, but I followed the reference pics. I am hoping to get the ponies done on one side tonight. I'm using Fred Cady Decals so you have to wait for one pony to dry before sliding the next one on. Same with the lettering. The Orange lettering is one decal and the red outlined block letter sits on top top make the red edge. I sure wish Fred was still making decals.
  4. Here is my 2nd one in progress.
  5. I Love it ! I did a standard Cuda not that long ago very similar to this. Flat hood, small block and red on red convertible.
  6. no major adjustments. It all fits in there and it kind of sits on the oil pan. Low tech lol :-)
  7. yes the hood is a resin piece from Scale Equipment Limited. The photo etch kit was from Model Car Garage.
  8. Here is my 68 Firebird Sprint OHC-six. Verdoro Green with vinyl top. The OHC 6 is from the AMT 69 Firebird kit. Painted redline wheels. Open doors, etc.
  9. WOW my favorite all time race car. Is that the Union/Heller kit ?
  10. whoah...thats gotta be the coolest build I've seen in a long time,
  11. It's the Monogram. It was partially built so I got it cheap (ebay). I was hoping to get a new one but they are going for quite a few bucks. I have to pry this one apart, and I had to break the windows to get the out. No biggie I can make new windows. I also ordered Fred Cady decals from Model empire. I'll post some pics. JJ
  12. OK Guys I'm doing another one. 1979 Monogram Pace Car love the chassis weathering,,,just enough to look real.
  13. I'll be watching this one too. I've always wanted to build one like this to replicate a car my uncle owned back in the early to mid 80s.
  14. Welcome back. I was in the same place 10 years ago where I had taken a break from modeling for my career, to get married and have kids...but then I bought one model on a whim and I was back. So welcome back... It's such a great hobby with even better people.
  15. Jan 1st is coming fast...how many do we have done so far ? I got mine done. Anyone else ?
  16. AMT has a 66 Mustang coupe. It's a bit primitive compared to today's tools. but it builds up as a nice looking model. Search ebay for 66 mustang. Several different boxes over the years.
  17. I'd be remiss if i didn't say this every single time this question is posted. The worst part of this is its an east 3 n1 (or 4 n1), and though I don't know shinola about model car marketing, I still bet it'd sell well. At least as well as the 72 Cutlass which was an interesting choice of subjects (not interesting as being a bad choice...rather more of a "gee I never thought of that one", and dang that's actually pretty cool... Mine is 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Tell me this isn't cool ! Now for my whacky, never ever in a million years will this kit be done model car wish.... 69 Mercury Montego Coupe
  18. I love it ! I love to see the no so common, not so muscle car build ups. Very interesting build.
  19. Hey guys the hood of from Scale Equipment Ltd. http://www.seltd.net/products.html
  20. Shot over good ole Plastikote black primer Marc
  21. Ian this is the 68 Revell kit. I plan top use the Rally II rims on it but dog dishes would be cool too
  22. Here is my latest. I'm using the OHC six from the 69 and a resin standard hood.
  23. I am still very saddened by the news of Jerry/Luke57's passing, and I am so sorry for the loss to you and your family. I have told Jerry in the past, and I will say it again, that his model photography was the best out there. NOBODY took a more realistic picture than Luke. While we never talked or met in person, I very much enjoyed his writings and photos on the message boards. I will miss him.
  24. 4 for me...and one was a weekend snapper project.
  25. Well I finished mine :-) Maybe I can manage to get a stock one done before new years too... maybe not lol
