Rick indeed it was. I have been scanning photos and I think (and I may be wrong) the GT had no cove trim. I was planning not to have trim at all thinking the GT would not have had it. Maybe I should do some more research

some more progress. Dash...still need to touch up the steering wheel (black out the holed, etc) and the radio. I made the pedals from bent bobbie pins and photo etch pedal parts. I did the exhaust holes in the rear valance as Mike suggested.

New Fujimi Pantera?
Jeff Johnston replied to fumi's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wonder if its plastic or the same resin kit they released some time ago. Either Way I am VERY excited about this. None of the Revell releases interested me this year except maybe, sorta-kinda, the 62 Corvette. This totally makes up for it. -

yes Silvester you are correct in that the Mauri kit is a tough one to get, and expensive when you do. I built one and I also agree its workable...sure would like to see a stock plastic kit...I'l be good for several for sure. -
practice made perfect...very nice. I'd like to try that someday.

Charlie yes its the same paint. I left it flat and will try to sheen it up a bit with some 80-00 polishing cloth to make it look like vinyl, and do tan flocking on the floor.

Anyone here play guitar?
Jeff Johnston replied to SuperStockAndy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
you only get better by playing. A little amp like this will make you want to play more because it has to many options and sounds. -

Andy that little AMP is called a Roland Micro Cube. It has every sound you would ever need. You can dial in Metal, and Blues, and a lot in between. It cost 130 bucks and I have to say it is worth every penny and more. -

The Ibanez is the orange hollow body. From Left to right, starting on the floor... Maroon Fender Telecaster. Orange Ibanez Hollow Body, Purple Fender Stratocaster, Silverburst Epiphone Les Paul Custom. Also night moves is mostly G and E. There is a walk down from G to E but if you can play G and E you can play the versus. There is a C in the chorus but this is a really good song to learn. You can google the chords and probably even the lyrics with the chords. -

These are mine...I don't play the Ibanez much and I'd like to see it and get another Mexi-Strat. My favorite will always by my Strat but I find myself playing my Telecaster a lot. On the side you can see my drums. I've played Drums since I was 9....guitar since 15. I studied drums but picked up guitar on my own. -
The General rule (from my perspective) is that enamel will dry glossy, and most lacquers dry flat and need a clear coat. I have seen guys spray glossy enamel paint jobs that make me drool...with no clear. They take a long time sometimes to dry... I have much better experience with lacquers. They dry fast and I always have to clear. Then I polish the clear. Lately my clear of choice is decanted Testors Wet Look clear. I used to use Urethane clear and the stuff is awesome. However, its nasty stuff. i do use a respirator for all painting, but I get almost the same results with Wet look (thinned just a little more), and I spray is ta a rally low psi. So there are a lot less fumes and it goes on smooth. The Urethane is thick so you really have to use a 25+ psi and it gets sort of foggy in the garage...even with both doors open, So I stopped...I only use the Urethane clear on Black now. Don Yost has a really good video that I hear is worth the money to buy.

This is me at 15 building a 78 Corvette model on a TV tray This is me with my wife and kids 3 weeks ago.

Nice build. I haven't seen one of those in years in scale or 1:1

OK I'll play... but I'll take you in a totally different direction. This was the weird Uptown kit with XS Tuning wheels and tires out of the 06 Mustang GT kit.

you probably won't believe me, but I swear I saw one of these following me recently here in Southern NH. My son was driving and I kept looking behind me trying to figure it out. We took a left and when it went by it looked (as my son said) "like the Harry Potter car on a Jeep frame". It was black, and very weird in a cool way (if that makes sense) LOL. I can't say I didn't like it...

My Inspirational Model Car
Jeff Johnston replied to Romell R's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree. I saw his Ford Mustang EXP 500 at NNL east and kept coming back to look at it. Its what drive me to want to open up doors and such. Only after I got home did I realize it was his. He even shared some tips and sent pics of door hinges. Thanks Bill... -
paint...next is to fix up the rear valance for the pipes and paint that.

most of those little amps have a distortion button on then, I still have my little Peavey Rage and it had a distortion setting that wasn't bad... After a while you can save your money for a Roland Micro Cube. These are very cool little amps for about 130 bucks. Everything is built in. -
ooh Mike... I am going to do that. Thanks for that suggestion.
