Are you looking for a good airbrush or for someone to paint something for you with an airbrush ? -

I ate Gator in Ocala Florida years ago....I recall it was pretty good. -
I get ticked off sometimes when something doesn't turn out exactly like I had hoped. I have as 76 Camaro right now that fits that build description. Or the 69 GTO that I was really happy with and then I saw the "O" decal in GTO must have slid down so the decal looks crooked...the O is a half letter low. I'll fix it but it frustrated me. So yeah, I get it !! I totally get it.... I still enjoy this more than any other activity.

Definitely a great issue and some great impalas to boot ! -
I agree.... Steve that is very cool ! My kids were able to be the Redsox bat boy and bat girl for one game back in 2005 and my wife and I got to spend batting practice on the field. It was a crazy think seeing me kids sitting on the bench between Kevin Millar and Chad Bradford. I was a pretty good ball player back in the day. My cousin, who lived with us every summer was too. He made me a better player and tool me all the way through legion ball. He went to Univ if Washington and started with the Huskies for 4 years, then got drafted by the Mets in 86. He played high A then double A for a couple years, then AAA at Tidewater for a couple years. He never made it to the bigs and I am convinced it was because he was a 2nd baseman and in 86 Gregg Jeffries made it to the bigs for the Mets at 2nd and he was younger than Dave (my cousin). So there was never a spot. Anyway Steve that's very cool (yes I am a Sox fan as you may be able to tell)

What is your eBay strategy?
Jeff Johnston replied to Fat Brian's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Mr Moto I like that idea. I am a sniper if there is an item I really want to win....Always a Model LOL Sometimes it ends too late and I forget. But just as often I just put my high bid and let it go. If I get outbid I get outbid. -
I have to get that. Pantera is my favorite car. My Uncle had one back when I was about 12 and I have some great memories in his OrangePantera

question - New revell plastic issues
Jeff Johnston replied to mademan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Bill is 100% correct as it showed up in 2005 with the release of the new Mustang. I just about went nuts trying to paint one of those Mustangs. I used Duplicolor primer, Plastikote primer...and I got crazing. Duplicolor paint, nail polish, Tamiya spray, same results. I finally painted it using several extremely light coats of Duplicolor...it took me days to get the paint so it covered. Paint one light coat...sand it smooth with 3000, paint it again, sand it again....then I cleared with Urethane 2 part. But what a process ! In recent years I haven't had this issue at all. Maybe, and I suspect probably it's luck. But to answer your question, this is absolutely not you or anything you are doing. The Future route definitely works....I did try this on another Mustang after someone did it (I think Bill and is 05 Atomic Orange Corvette) and I had zero crazing. However I used Testors lacquers with Testors thinner on those, so who knows if it was the sealer, or the paint, or both. -
VERY VERY Nice !

Awesome !!! -
i saw the 53 Skylark on one page of the Revell list at NNL East at least 3 times before I wrote it down for a 4th time...and I imaging 4 more times it appeared after that. Definitely a missing link. Of course I added the 67 Galaxie that I continue to wish for LOL Also I'd buy and build 90% of whats on Gary's list. I'd love to see a nice E-type.

WOW that is HOT !

making a choice
Jeff Johnston replied to 62rebel's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Same for me Mark. I like the subject and to me the scale matters less. I picked up a few 1/20 scale built but unpainted kits at NNL east for cheap cheap and I am thrilled. One is an Entex 1/20 Porsche 914-6. Complete, in a bag, and 3 dollars ! -
The one model you are most proud of.

Question about Scale Finishes paint
Jeff Johnston replied to martinfan5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You can defintiely use a lacquer clear on the scale finishes paint. Its an acrylic enamel (I think thats what they call it), but its not like the water base acrylic like you'd normally think. Duplicolor is also acrylic enamel. I've pained several cars with Scale Finishes paint, and I have used 2 part urethane as well as Testors wet look and Tamiya clear with no issues whatsoever. JJ
