  1. After hours of fighting I managed to print this (still paper version) of the decal that is on the sides of the real Buick. It was taken from a FB picture and modified with the pc, and that is really not my cup of tee. I hate it. Next I need to get some ink jet decal sheets and try to make even more different decals.
  2. Thanks Anton. There's a lot of work done already in the engine bay, but since there are no fresh photos of the real Buick yet to be seen in public, I won't put my proress here either. Also some details may need some changes. The rear axle got a 4 link suspension.
  3. I moved the turbos to the front of the engine, as in real Buick they did. Now the hood will shut.
  4. It doesn't matter whos idea it was, your model is so beautiful, just perfect. The colour too. I want to build one too with the same reciept.
  5. Yeah but when you are staged, put the line lock on, floor it and when it's time BRAAAAAAP it goes, right? Okay I admit, my turbos are oversized, and it's hard to get them stuffed in the engine bay. But the real Buick HAS BIG turbos too, Holset HX60, size of a water bucket. I tried to put a photo here but failed, it's a FB pic. Blacklist Buick. Today I got tired of the self made wheels, they just didn't look right. So I went through my spare wheel box, again, and I found set of 4 wheels, that are much better. Just had to make the front ones more narrow and the rear ones wider. Yes, they are 4bolt pattern, but who's counting, eh?
  6. Go fast go BIG! Those turbos are way too big to fit under the hood.
  7. Thanks everybody! I made a new pair of turbos, bigger and better. Also they need to be similar, the old ones were twisting to the opposite directions, if you know what I mean. Like mirror image?
  8. Thank you everyone! I've read that Ford had thought about developing a Mustang Wagon. Here is the story http://www.mustangandfords.com/featured-vehicles/1605-the-saga-of-1965-mustang-wagon
  9. Oh that is cool. Good for you to have such a kit.
  10. Thanks Mattilacken! Just trying to replicate a very killer looking street beast from Finland! And this led to the fact, that my self made valve covers started to look too small. The real Buick has Brodix alu heads and those are big. So I cut the covers off and made a new pair, bigger and wider. I think they are good enough now. Then I ripped the turbos off, they need some handling too. The roll cage is now painted semigloss black, the car will have glossy black paint.
  11. Very pretty 4door, the green paint is delicious. Is this a resin body shell?
  12. Buick is standing on the wheels!
  13. Agreed. I didn't go through the whole thread yet, but I certainly will now, after seeing this last page. Great stuff here to look and learn.
  14. Thanks a lot Andy, the real Buick crew will have some busy time too ahead in order to get the car done and tested well. The hood needed a hump so I made one.
  15. I got the center console sort of done, I heard they try to save the original dash as much as possible in the real Buick, but there's a panel inside the car so the transmission can be reached from there. It makes things difficult to get everything to sit nicely. I made the shifter too. I'm not sure yet, how it's gonna be planted there, now it just sits on a piece of tube.
  16. The JAZ seats got a light padding, the steering wheel was moved backwards, and the engine starts to find it's place. The turbos may need to adjust lower/ more back, to get them sit under the hood completely. Not sure yet how this goes with the real Buick, have to wait and see.
  17. Thanks for your kind words. I'm not keen on the 3d printing of parts, I rather use a saw and a file to create something that doesn't yet excist. Maybe the parts are not always so accurate, but I really like that job. Now I have the rear end nearly done. I think they gonna use the four link in the real Buick, so I have to wait for more pics of it. At this time I have no bright idea how to make the rear suspension, but that will be sorted out later. Also the wheelie bars will be made, as Buick tends to make wild wheel stands even with the previous engine.
  18. Two racing seats on the way. Scratch built Evergreen plastic.
  19. Hej Anton! Thanks for the comment. Well I surely wouldn't say no to that wheel and tire offer. I will put pm to you.
  20. I made the rear tires bigger. The other tire is the one that was under Buick earlier. Quite a difference.
  21. Working with the roll cage
  22. Some progress here. Made the transmission, it's a Power Glide. The rear tires are still too small, I will try to make them bigger.
  23. Thanks everybody. Yes the whole engine is gonna sit there, but ofcourse the hood and the engine bay will have some modifications. All of the engine parts, incl. the turbos and the intake, are scratch built by me. Just the block is from a Nascar Chevelle, a SBC. The aircleaners are casted by a co-modeller. Just put "Blacklist Buick" on the google photo search, and there's plenty of pics of that Finnish street beast (mostly with the old engine, with no turbos yet, with NOS system equipped)
  24. Needs a little le bit of cutting. All the inner fenders and the fire wall will be removed. The body shell needs paint stripping.
