Thanks Alan to you too. This is such a great forum. A Bud from AU has spoken to a friend and some magazine photos are available soon. He also gave a hint of that 2004 magazine that was for sale and I bought it too. It just takes weeks to get it shipped here over all those seas from Australia to Finland. But help is coming, I have no worries with this project. Mean while I can play that furious music video over and over and trying to shape those fenders.

Thanks Alan, for sure that might help. It's just the fact, shipping overseas is quite expensive these days.

Those wheels and tires look so cool. I wish I had them also, a bunch of them.

69 Mustang (Home Built Special) Drift Car

Just perrrrfect. You should have a see through body on that chassis. -
Okay now those big holes are filled with plastic, still need to shape them. Also added plastic sheets to make the rear longer and in front of the windshield also needed some plastic.
-
Hey thanks everyone! Now there's no way back. I cut the front fenders to shape them to look more Dodge fenders. I also managed to take some screen shots of Black Betty Dodge. The basic shape can be seen in other '35 Dodge Coupes for sure. But Black Betty Dodge is not in original untouched form.

Thanks everybody! Dann, you couldn't see one of these in that museum, since only one was built as a prototype. Here is a short info of this fun mobile: https://www.flickr.com/photos/93207294@N04/42492392630

Thanks everybody for those advices. The thing is, that there is not too many good photos of that particular car. Some photos I can find, but not enough. Spiderbait Black Betty Dodge, those words I've used in google photo search. This car will have low profile rag top. The paint I first thought was black, but after watching the video I think it's very dark violet candy?

Thanks everybody! I'm exited how this works. Lot's of work but that's how I like it. My thoughts exactly. Plus I need to watch the video three thousand times to spot the necessary details. Or take some screen shots. I got the rear fender back in place. It was quite tricky task, since I had sawn it off with no worries about the rest of the body. And then made it much thinner etc. Now it needs some putty and it's good to go.

The dutch Daf Mobile Raincoat looks almost the same as my model or is it the opposite? My model looks almost the same as the original? I like building models that represent something from 1:1 world.

69 Mustang (Home Built Special) Drift Car

What a great start for that good looking drifter. That chassis preparations and building is pure art and science. So joyful to watch. -
Hello again. There's still time to start a new project for this year. Since I can't find any '35 Dodge kit, I' ll try to convert this poor '39 Chevy to look like it, atleast from far. I only have the roofless body, the frame, the almost useless interior tub and some small parts. The idea for this is from a music video, Spiderbait performing Black Betty.
-
Thanks again everyone! I'm glad so many of you are fond of my models. As you may know, there is a video of a 1:1 Gooseneck trailer that is hitched to a Bug this way. But looking closely to that video it shows, that the roof hitch is bolted through the Bugs' roof. It's not only the rain gutters that keep the weight of the trailer. That way it may have been a quite strong assembly.

Thanks everyone! The little blue car is the Mobile Raincoat I built from leftovers of a '39 Chevy Coupe

I was pretty productive this year. 5 USA, 5 Euro, 1 Jap. Photos shown at that order as they were finished. No cursides, every one has got the engine and the tranny. Seven V8s, one V12, one 4cyl. boxer, one 2cyl., one 1cyl.

I quess finishing De Tomaso is next (done!) and a friend asked if I have any Novas done? Nope... And that gave me an idea. Not a kitchen sink but something floating of a kind. A kayak for him and her! Scratch built ofcourse. And thanks for the comments everyone.
-
Hello. This De Tomaso was first time built some years ago, but I was never quite happy how it turned out. It is based on a Nascar Ford Thunderbird body, heavily modified. The chassis was taken and shortened from 90's Chevy Impala police kit. The interior is mostly scratch built and now repainted. As is the whole body too, 'coz I made some major improvements to it. It' s got a new hood, sides of the body are newly shaped, new bumpers, grill, headlights, exhaust, windows... all new. The paint was semimatte blue, now bright red. There's a building story in "Under Construction" . What do you think? Feel free to comment, thanks.

Yeah that is true. On the other hand there might be a safety pin to keep that hitch together. I quess the camper will neither be unhooked during the leisure weekend at all, since there are no "legs" to keep it level in the camping site. But ofcourse there could be some sort of chains just to make things sure and safe.
-
Well this one is different for sure, in a good way. Lots of work during a long time. Great colour, engine bay shines with blower and stuff. And the stance is perfect, nose proudly in the air. Maybe you could move those front seat more back, there would still be leg room enough for back seat travellers? Keep on modelling!

This one is made of Revell Citroen 2CV Charleston 1:24 kit and Evergreen plastic. The camper is all scratch built, also the wheels are modified from some US chrome wheels to look like Citroen steelies. Citroen is 12mm shortened, made 2 doors, opened trunk with the tray, where the cardboard suitcase can travel safely. Twin windshield and two lockers to store camping gear. The camper should have some blanckets inside or atleast painted dark, now it's kinda plain white and empty. I'll have to figure that later, now I want to lay this aside. Brush painted Humbrol matte 109, the interior paint tone is mixed from two red and a drop of brown paint. Thanks for looking, feel free to comment.

As sweet as it can be. How on earth can one build so clean and faultless model? Concrats!
-
Yeah it needs the twin windshield. There it was already, but after spinning the model round and round, half of it got ripped off. Grrrrr there goes the other half too. Edit. Thanks Dann and Gerald! Now this combo is finished and can be seen Under Glass.
