  2. Harry !! Good to hear from you, glad your doing better, and at home. I got my disability the first time around, as they said above have all of your documents in order, all your T's crossed and your I's dotted. Also watch the questions on their forms, a lot of the times the questions will be asked 2 or 3 times in a different way just to see if you give the same answer. Than they send you more forms with the same BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH questions asked in still a different way. My Mother in law (belive it or not) gave me a good piece of advice when I was doing mine. Any forms you fill out, be sure you make a copy for you self. That sure helped me when they kept sending all of there different forms. Hang in there Harry, the White Sox start spring training next month and in less than 3 months the season starts. No better to relax when your pretty homebound, than to sit back and watch a ballgame. Take it easy Harry-------Prayers are with you
  3. A few more older trucking songs not mentioned here. There's East Bound and Down by Jerry Reed C. B. Savage by Ron Hart And several by Dave Dudley one of if not the best singer of truck songs. Girl on the Billboard Me and Ol' C.B. Keep ON Truckin There Ain't No Easy Load And one of his last songs, this came right after 9/11 Don't Mess With American Truckers. This song is for everybody but anybody that has ever driven a truck will really understand it
  4. Scott: Heres a suggestion for you, go to a Home Depot and or a Lowes or even a Menards store or really any store that sells Plexi- glass. Go to the Plexi-Glass section and look at the glues there. There probley will be a couple three different glues there. Read the labels on all and decide which one would best suit your needs, or the easiest on for you to use. When I built my trailer, I used the tube glue that they offer, worked just great, dries crystal clear and it has all the stickum that you need. In fact I have built several different things using that pertickler glue. If you use it for anything thats not really clear, be sure to test it on a piece of scrap first. Hope this helps Jeff
  5. here guy try these 2 web-sites, not sure there what your looking for but they might help. HPTRAILER.COM RHCHEAVYMACHINERY.COM Jeff
  6. My favorite smell comes into the shop from the kitchen. The smell of the wife baking fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies. Jeff
  7. That new board probley didn't work and Harry just doesn't want to tell us that his garage door opener has gone to the garage door opener beyond. Hey Harry take a break and go on down to the Sox game tonight, and than tomorrow you can tell ua that your going to get a new opener. We'll all understard, I think.
  8. That's seems appropriate the Cubs and dog poop in the same sentence. At least you can clean up the dog poop in the spring. But nobody has been able to do anything for the Cubs in years. As Harry would probley say GO WHITE SOX but they didn't look all that good last year either.
  9. Yup I also live in the Cornpatch, Waterloo to be exact. Jeff
  10. Yea, I think it was called REA Express.
  11. Man !!!!!!!!!!!!! You sure wouldn't ask that if you knew my wife. Jeff
  12. raildogg Try Dave at A.I.T.M. He has just about everything Mack plus a lot of other stuff. His web site is, WWW.AITRUCKMODELS.COM Jeff
  13. Looks like Danno's been sent to his room one time to many. To much time to sleep and have these weird nightmares. Maybe he needs more time in the sandbox, with the sane people on this forum. Jeff
  14. I keep a camera in the wife's car, that way when we're out, if I see something that I like, I take several pictures of it. When I get home I put the pictures in the computer, print them out and put them in a ring binder and when I am ready to start a new project, I go thru the pictures and see if there is anything that could or will be used on the project. Both of my sons also use these pictures before they start new projects. I just wish that they would return the binders, so I wouldn't have to track them down when I am ready to use them. Jeff
  15. You can also go to Line-o-tapes own web site to order www.lineotape.com Jeff
  16. Good thing Harry didn't see this thing, what ever it is, first or he would of had it on Real or Model in a couple of weeks Jeff
  17. 3 M Bondo Professional Glazing Putty w/ catalyst Tamiya Putty Milliput both types standard grain and also superfine grain Will use Squardon white and or green for little jobs. All in all I do prefer the Bondo brand putty, but that's just my choice. Jeff
  18. Ertl made a Smokey and the Bandit trailer, issued in 1981, stock # 8035. Decals for the side of the trailer are included. I am not sure if this trailer was from the 1st movie or the 2nd movie, but it does build into a nice looking trailer. Since these have been out of production for quite some time, E-bay or a private party willing to sell one would probley be your best bet for one. Jeff
  19. Don't use coffee anymore, but since I have been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I sit down every morning and have a Coca Cola and 2 Twinkies--lasts till lunch anyway. Jeff
  20. If you have a paper shredder at home, the shredded paper makes a really good packaging material. I think it is better than crinkled newspaper as it packs down a lot better. Once a kit box is put in a mailing box and packed in tight with shredded paper it does not move. Jeff
  21. Paint it orange and yellow and it would look like an early version of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Jeff
  22. My son has used these tattoo transfers several times on models for his daughter. he has never had a problem doing so. heres how he goes about it. First : he takes the transfer and puts it through the copy machine, putting it on regular copy paper. This also lets him resize the transfer if he needs to. Second : he takes the copy and puts it in the lazer printer and copies it to decal paper. Cuts around the design and uses it just like a decal. He's never had a problem doing it this way, and they look really good once applied to the model. Jeff
  23. All this is kind of like the wife backing my new pickup out of the garage one morning. The bad part of this is, I had backed it in the night before. No it really happened, the pickup was stick shift (4 on the floor) wife didn't than and still doesn't to this day drive stick shift. She got in the truck, got it started and put it in what she throught was 1st gear (actually reverse) and dumped the clutch. Well the rear end of the truck went better than 1/2 way out the rear end of the garage. Jeff
  24. Isn't this about George's third birthday this year. Just seem like we're wishing him a happy birthday every other month or so. Have a very happy birthday and a great day George. :) Jeff
