41 chevy rat rod

Looks very nice! I think it will get some attention on the show! -
In 2012, I thought my imaginary scale custom car garage needed a shop truck. I also wanted to experiment with printable decal foil, so I chose AMT´s ´61 Ranchero kit to build a little hot rodded utility vehicle. Body was shaved, suspension was lowered and the engine was wired. 5-spoke wheels came from Revell´s ´32 Ford and I added some cardboard boxes to the bed. The checkered roof, door logos and licence plates were done with photoshop, printed on decal paper and applied with micro sol setting solution. Worked quite well. Thanks for looking ps.: does anyone know about some good, reliable decal paper sheets for inkjet printers? I never found those I used back then again and none of the other brands I tried worked that good. Colors always dissolved or didn´t dry out well. Or maybe it´s just the cheap refilled ink...

Hi there, built this Lindberg ´61 Chevy Impala in 2011 as a mild custom cruiser. Body was shaved of all emblems, handles, lettering and the beltline trim. Suspension was lowered and I used steelies and whitewalls from my parts box. Custom tube grille and roof-mounted side mirror were scratchbuilt. Engine was wired and topped with an aluminium air cleaner. Thanks for looking! Greetings from Germany

50' Chevy pick-up

Amazing paint job! Does it taste like root beer? -
Thank you for your kind words! Color is Opel apache metallic and VW crystal silver for the roof, both from the spray can. The build was inspired by a car that Chip Foose built for Wes Rydell in 2007... ...but I thought a car like that might look cooler with a chopped top... I wish that Revell would have offered a kit of the Cool Air among all the other Foose-kits. But building it on my own, with a few personal touches, was a lot of fun, too.

Hi there, here is my ´54 Chevy Bel Air, built in 2010. It started life as a Monogram 1953 Bel Air kit but I didn´t like the front very much. I used a Revell ´54 Panel Truck to borrow the font part of the hood, grille, bumpers and the frenched custom taillights. I shaved all handles and emblems, frenched the headlights and chopped the top a few scale inches. Suspension was lowered and I mounted Pegasus Centerliners and tires. Revell´s Vette Agin kit provided the engine. Thanks for looking, comments welcome! Greetings from Cologne, Germany

64 Fleetside Pro Street

Another awesome Pro Street build! The color looks great on this one! -
Is this a real one, or is it a model car? If it´s real, I think it´s cool! If it´s a model, I think it´s far beyond cool!

I would prefer whitewalls on this one but the color combo is super-nice! This is not a monster, it´s a beauty! Keep on building cars, please. Greetings from Cologne, Germany

Bring Out Your Dead... Long Stalled Models
Koellefornia Kid replied to Tom Geiger's topic in WIP: Model Cars
What a cool thread! It reminded me of something... Started this one in 1998, I think. Got stalled because I had to spend my service, then it was reboxed because I moved to smaller flat, where I had no space for modeling. Tried to make a hot rodded crew cab from two Revell Model A Pickup kits. Almost forgot about it until I found this thread. Currently I´ve got three projects on my desk but this one will happen... some day -
Nice! Though it´s stock, the black steelies and wide whites adds a mild custom attitude
