  1. Nice one! You don´t see many F250s built this way, wonder why, it looks great!
  2. Nice color choice! Looks great with the whitewalls!
  3. Great build! I´m not a great Rat Rod fan, but this one looks awesome!
  4. Cool! Like the whitewalls!
  5. Thanks guys! I appreciate your kind words!
  6. WOW! Didn´t know about this project (just entered this board in August). I love to build famous custom cars in scale and knew about the Wildcad: Always wanted to build it since I first saw the original, but I never dared to start it. And I think I won´t when I look at yours. I will never be able to achieve a result like this one. MAXIMUM RESPECT! Just awesome!
  7. A few years ago I found this Steve Stanford rendering of ´69 Mustang in the depths of the world wide web: I always loiked Steve´s work and I thought it would be fun to build something like that, so I did, using AMT´s ´69 Mach 1 kit: Didn´t agree with all of Steve´s ideas,: Left the wheel wells and the rear bumper stock and instead of flattening the side scoops, I drilled them open, framed them with BMF and added a center spear that extends into custom door handles. But I was hooked by the other custom touches Steve applied to his Pony. I smoothed the hood, scratch built a tube grille and inserted rectangular Cibie headlights, used AMT ´49 Ford custom taillights and an Evergreen styrene rod for the rear panel. Wheels are Fujimi wires with low profile tires. I also had some additional ideas: Stereo speakers in the back, a custom steering wheel and scratch built exhaust tips. Engine came from a Mustang Mach III kit with custom air filters added. Called this project „Dark Matter“. Hope you like it.
  8. A very realistic looking Model A! Love the Y-block! Well done, Fred!
  9. That´s a very nice Rivi, Jim. Never considered ´59 Caddy Caps on that one, looks good! As well as the molded bumpers!
  10. That´s a nice list, Phil! I might add some of them to mine. How could I forget the Ala Kart and the Lil Deuce... Do you have some pictures of that car? I could´t find any...
  11. Thanks a lot! Making a list of the top 10 Hot Rods of all time would be a tough task. So many cool Rods were build in the past 60 years... hard to a pick top 10. But I have a top 5 that I definitely want to have in my display case somewhere down the road: 1: The above shown California Kid (obviously done) 2: Billy F. Gibbons Eliminator (done) 3: Jim "Jake" Jacobs´yellow ´34 Coupe (will be built as soon as I find some adequate wire wheels) 4: The SoCal Speed Shop ´32 Roadster (Pete Chapouris again. I got a roadster kit in my stash, so someday...) 5: Steve Caballero´s ´30 Model A "Coupe de Cab" (will hopefully be built soon, when the ´48 Caddy and the ´72 Blazer projects, which are currently on my desk are finished) Any additions to the list?
  12. The bumpers are looking good, what did you use?
  13. I like that very much!
  14. Hello everyone, I think the following two pictures are showing a vehicle that might look familiar to most of you: Pete Chapouris´ „The California Kid“ ´33/´34 Fords are my favorite Hot Rods, so I just had to build this one! I used Monogram´s ´33 Ford Street Rod kit with a couple of modifications: AMT ´34 Ford grille and door handles, transplanted louvers for the hood, hood sides and rear panel, headlights and correct 302cui engine (wired) from Revell´s ´32 Ford, resin Halibrand wheels, steering wheel and bucket seats from ThePartsBox, scratch built rear bumper, front nerfbar and license plates. Flame decals and window tags were custom designed after a Fred Cady decal sheet and printed by a decal printing service I found online. The California Kid was a must-have for my ´33/´34 Ford collection: Thanks for looking, comments are welcome
  15. Sweet ride, nice paint!
  16. Beautiful car! 1:1 and in scale
  17. That´s a nice little wagon!
  18. Awesome! Though it´s a fantasy car, it looks very convincing! Very nice job!
  19. Thanks y´all!
  20. I found this ´63 Plymouth Fury on ebay as a promo model and got it for a good price. Thought it might look good with a Pro Touring treatment. Shaved all emblems and handles, lowered the suspension, scratch built the exhaust tips and equipped it with 23´´Pegasus Hollies. For the interior I used a photoetched steering wheel from MCG, a B&M floor shifter and scratch built Fuzzy Dices. Some Mopar-dedicated magazines were placed on the seats. The engine I found under the glued hood was lacking some pieces, so I swapped it for a Dodge Viper V10. After 20 years of model car building, this was my first Mopar build. Hope you like it.
