I will follow that build because I have a ´70 300 Kit, too. Mine does not have an engine bay and has a built-in hood (so I´m a little bit jealous). I will send my bumpers to a company that did some chrome plating for me before. It´s not the cheapest way but it looks definitely better than Alclad, BMF or Molotow.

I will watch this closely! I need to improve my painting (and masking) skills and this looks very interesting -
Well done! There was a similar Focus in my neighborhood some years ago. I remember the sound of it very well, because it ripped me out of my dreams EVERY morning!

Thanks a lot, guys! Phil, I´m a big D´Agostino fan, too and I´m planning to build more of his beautiful creations! -
Cool!

1 more Kustom 40 ford chop top ?
Koellefornia Kid replied to Pimentel.Eng's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Looking good so far. Love the phantom 3 window style! -
To be honest, I´m not a big fan of the rear spoiler. But the front view is awesome! I love that "angry" look of the ´70 Coronet and it definitely looks great with the black paint! Also love the V10 power plant!

Hi guys, here is another iconic custom car that I tried to rebuild in scale, John D´Agostinos Golden Starfire. Here the original car: And my scale version: It was built from a Jimmy Flintstone resin curbside kit of a ´61 Oldsmobile Super 88 with a few retouches and additional parts: All trim, emblems and handles were shaved. The hood was cut from the body and I inserted the engine bay of an AMT ´62 Chevy Bel Air along with the front part of the frame/chassis and the engine. The Bel Air also donored its window glass. The suspension was lowered and I used wire wheels from my spare parts with custom hubcaps and AMT parts pack´s wide whites. The ´60 Mercury grille with the Lucas headlights came from AMT´s ´59 El Camino kit. The interior tub and seats are ´63 Impala parts and I scratch built a center console and tuck´n´roll upholstery, he steering wheel is a Modelhaus item. A scratch built trim bar was placed between ThePartsBox custom bullet taillights. Thanks for looking, hope you like it.

Cool! The mild chop looks good! -
Wow, you really nailed the early 60s-style! Great build, love it!

´78 AMC Pacer with a lot of ´06 Camaro DNA
Koellefornia Kid replied to Koellefornia Kid's topic in Model Cars
Thanks for the feedback! I always thought that the Gremlin was smaller than the Pacer, too. According to the boxes, both kits are 1/25th scale. Maybe one of them is not correctly scaled? -
Great color choice and very well executed!

I really like these "never-thought-of-that"-themed builds! Well done!

Great build. The nice wheels and the stance gives it a mean look and the engine looks convincible. I really like that "driven" look!

Awesome build with great detail work! Thumbs up!
