  1. I appreciate it! That's a great tip!
  2. My least favorite part... the rubber mouldings and black trim...
  3. Pretty BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH phenomenal of a job!
  4. Weathering on this is absolutely brilliant!!
  5. I really like the F40! I think we all have our biases though. I am drawn to contrasting colors.
  6. So I do want to emphasis something here. I am learning the quality and technique of the wash (for shading) if absolutely crucial. The more and more I practice, it seems it makes all the difference in the world! In these close-up shots of the engine, its hard to appreciate how much more realistic it looks with the shading. Next time, i will post a before and after shot from a more reasonable distance (that a human would stand from) so you can see how dramatic the effect is!
  7. Very sorry for your loss Brian!
  8. Thanks!!! I added more engine detail. I think I’m done now
  9. Continuing on my Z-car series. I decided on pearl yellow for the body (zero paints). This is literally my third body attempt on this car. If you have never done pearl yellow before, it’s tricky! Also got some engine detailing done. 100% instructions except the engine detail. Photo etch set by hobby design. Hope you enjoy!

  11. Phenomenaly creative and inspiring build!
  12. Soooo I think I ruined this body :/ 24 hours later and the paint is dry to the touch, but still takes fingerprints. Do you think I sprayed too thick of a coat, and it ate into the plastic through the primer? Thank goodness it was a cheap kit (Tamiya 300zx z32). Might have to buy a new kit and start over... anyone experience this this by praying too thick of a coat of Zero paints?
  13. If I try it again, I would consider doing a yellow basecoat. However, I did notice that forum members are right about the white base coat making the yellow “pop”. I’m affraid anything less than white will just add additional paint thickness without the desired effect: to get the most contrasting yellow color without plastering on an inch of paint.
  14. I have painted yellow, but I have even more trouble with the yellow pearl. It’s translucent even in the bottle before it is sprayed. Much more so than the solid yellow colors such as from Ferrari
  15. Absolutely the most difficult paint I have ever worked with hahah. A note to all, the base coat needs to be 100% white with no burn through. Still took 6 coats. I actually love the zero paints product. I think it’s just the nature of “yellow pearl”. What the most diffuclt paint you have dealt with?
  16. You are all very kind, thank you!
  17. Indeed! It is a Lotus, not a Caterham, my mistake Thank you for the kind words!!
  18. Thank you Ace and Funkychiken!
  19. Added my first engine detail and seatbelts. Other than that, I followed the Tamiya directions.
  20. This one is done. Going to post this in “under the glass”.
  21. Engine installed into body.

    LaFerrari

Absolutely phenomenal. You should visit your friends and family, and just put this on the table. No words. Watch their lower jaw unhinge in awe.
  23. Will you keep the rear window louvers off? I feel like you wont see much once they are installed.
  24. First time attempting park plug wires. That was hard!!!
  25. Engine assembled. Ready for detailing and installation
