Here's my latest It's an Arii 1/24 kit. It needed a bit of work to make it go together properly. E.g. the interior didn't line-up with the exterior shut-lines on the doors. I had to remove a section from the front edge of the dashboard and move the body back until it looked right. The interior also sat too high and needed adjustment. The chassis and body were warped, too. All in all, it was a bit of a swine to put together, but I like a challenge. Wheels are from the Revell 49 Merc. Side pipes are part-box.

Bueno! I love everything about it. How did you do the decals? Did you photo reduce an image and print it onto decal paper? Really beautiful looking ride. The pearl roof goes really well with the green. Top skills.

Thanks guys Yes, the lace decals were very tricky to apply. They seemed to stick to the polished paint very well, but this made them difficult to re-position. Fortunately, they were also fairly durable, so they didn't rip when I tugged them into position. I just bought the KS Pittman coupe version. I love the shape of the coupe. Looks like an easy body to polish.

Another fine save! Really great job on this, Richard. One of my favourite cars of '59 Perfect colour combination, too.

Thanks guys It was a bit fiddly at times and I wonder if I should've used the other front axle in the kit. It had working steering and wasn't dropped like the chrome one I used. It would've given a more nosebleed stance. The door hinges took some adjustment and wire pins, to get them working properly. Yes Dave, the decals on the front fenders were quite difficult. Once they made contact with the paint, they didn't want to move. I had to lift them off with a fine wet paintbrush and try again. And again. It was a tense moment, but they lay down fairly well with a bit of Microsol. Considering the copyright logo says 1961, It's a pretty good kit. I look at it every time I walk past it
