Really nice. The wood panelling looks very authentic. The finish is really well executed. My one and only criticism is the whitewalls. They look a bit blue-ish. Maybe they're slightly translucent. I reckon some white primer on them would make them more opaque and whiter. It's only a tiny thing, but I think it would make a lot of difference.

Very tidy build. Nice details Bigger pictures would be good, though.

Excellent building skills coupled with a fertile imagination. An amazing job. I love the little details. The bags of blood and the rear fenders are a real nice touch.

Superb! I love the graphics. The colour really suits it, too.

My last few builds have been a bit of a brain-fry, so I decided to have a bit more fun with kit building. These Zingers really captured my imagination and the more I found out about the original creations, the more I wanted to build the whole set. Next, I'll build the Super Drag Zinger and the VW Beetle Zinger (got an original kit on eBay for $20, as Round 2 don't seem to have licencing rights to the Beetle) It was a lot of fun...except the point where I discovered the printed instructions were wrong, and the valley-cover is on the wrong way round, meaning the magneto is at the wrong end of the engine. I wigged-out about this, screwed-up the instruction sheet and ranted about it for 10 minutes, but it's actually no real problem. I just wanted to build it like the photos. I added plug wires and fuel lines and swapped the kit rear tyres for some SATCO M/T Sportsman's I had lying around in my parts box. I also added a bit of clear acetate for the 'screen. I hope this makes you smile... Thanks for looking

That body looks like it's made of metal...it really does! Superb work! Do more like this! I love 'em!

That colour really suits it. The stance looks good too. Looks like a couple of hay bales would get thrown in the back most days. A really tidy build, all round.

A lesson in clean building, if ever I saw one! That paint is gorgeous. Your skills are brain-surgeon perfect! I usually find 70's cars a bit..well, dull. But this has made me reconsider that opinion. A masterpiece! -
This is the first time i've seen one of these! Looks like a lot of fun! Thanks for the building tips, too..

Nice builds displayed in a very novel format. I particularly like the colour of the 55 hardtop. I don't really know anything about Mecum autions..but the shots you took look very authentic.

VERY nice detailing. It's this sort of work that keeps me striving for greater results in my own builds. I like the use of clear headlight lenses, instead of the moulded-in, convex chrome, kit pieces. That carb setup is, as they say, the bomb.

Sweet! I love seeing these Lazarus projects! You did it proud Nice soft colour, too. Looks very period correct to my untrained eye. -
That's really nice! I've just been hunting about on google for inspiration for my next build and saw the car which probably gave you this idea. I was going to try it myself...but now I'll have to re-think my plans, or risk plagiarism! I also did my first panel-job recently and I needed a few weeks' rest after that, so I get where you're coming from..! Once again, nice work!

That's a mighty fine lookin build. I keep trying to get one of these old promo style kits, as you say...I also have limited excitement for 57 Chevys and 49 Mercs. I dont care if they're curbside...I want one! Both your 58 & 59 are real eye candy. So crisp and fresh looking. My appetite is truly whetted. -
Now it's a silk purse..! Colour is lovely and even though the wheels are a bit blingy..it still works. I also heard these kits are a bit naff, but you gave it new life. Well done.

I dig it, Rich! In fact, I love most 1959 cars, as they seemed to peak in their styling excess before the new decade. As always, you have built another beautiful car. I duly doff my cap.

A good first build! Welcome to the community! I hope you keep building and posting your pics.

Superb. I saw a DB4 recently...it might've been at Goodwood FOS. They are handsome beasts. This looks like a 1:1, and the photos really do it justice. Nice to see some British vintage iron here, for a change, especially one built this good.

Spectacular! Thanks for the detailed info about parts and sources. You nailed it, in every way. -
They both look marvellous! I love these Fords. I have a Dick Tracy one in my stash, but after I read a review pf the re-issue, I want that kit too. I chopped the last 36 I built, but the reissue has a chopped top and more custom parts than the D Tracy kit. Both of yours are primo!

It looks good, Pat. The paint looks nice and smooth, too. I got sweaty the first time I tried BMF, but the results are SO worth it. Maybe try a little on the door handles, before you progress onto long pieces of trim. Believe me...if you can make a kit look this neat and tidy, then foil is well within your grasp.

I agree.. It still looks excellent. Don't knock it. Keep it as it is. -
Perfect! I know you might see this and that, and want to do things better or differently next time, but believe me, this is excellent!

Wow! What an amazing build! The car not only looks superb, but it's been put together beautifully. The paint colour and finish are both excellent. The photos make it look like an authentic promo shoot, too. A real beauty. I would love to get hold of one of these old Johan promos, but when I see them on eBay, they're SO expensive....
