Boing! Thud.....thud! (Those were my eyes popping out) So realistic, Harry. Truly inspirational skills. I really hope, that one day, if I try really hard, I might be almost half as good as you.

I second that Love it

Fantastic! A year of work shows and sure paid-off. Immaculate paint and awesome details. I don't really have space for big scale builds...but this has got me thinking...!

What a pair of beauties! I don't normally like yellow cars, but these are the exception.

Oooh! That's REAL nice! That red colour is so deep. In a nutshell: I love it.

I did think about cutting out the kit headlights and trying to use them, but it's a lot of work for a very small effect. I put a black wash over the kit grille and found it looked very good. I doubt the PE grille would've been a significant improvement... Thanks for the comments, guys

Great to see more builds posted here from our side of the pond, Damian! Really nice build you did there. The paint is awesome and it looks like the time spent on the details were well worth it. -
Wild! Man, you've got mad skills! Beautiful finish

That looks kool The rust pattern looks authentic -
Here's some detail shots: and a rear shot And finally, proof that it REALLY is purple! Maybe I'll do a re-shoot when I see the sun again...in 3 months time.

Here’s my latest, the AMT ’60 Ford Starliner. I lowered the suspension, filled the antenna hole in the front wing. MCG PE details were used, but I didn’t use the PE grille, as you need to buy separate headlight buckets, from Modelhaus or somewhere else… Thanks MCG. That cost me $20 and it was all but useless. Why not include resin buckets in with the PE set? I mean, how much more would it cost? Anyway, I replaced the dash switches and the dials. I flocked the carpets and wired the engine. Wheels are from Pegasus and I made the exhaust system from lead solder, with polished aluminium Bellflowers. I made the antenna, too, after seeing a similar one in reference photos. I thought it looked quite period-correct. Paint was silver base, with silver flake on top, followed by purple candy and more clear. The downside to all this paint, is that the panel lines disappeared in places, so a lot of the BMF had to be done by eye, with a steady hand. I was sweating bullets. The pattern was masked with some of that greeting-card craft border. The self-adhesive stuff. Er…I think that’s it. Here are the pics, comments welcome: Even though I used lots of artificial light, the purple didn't really come out strongly in the photos. Believe me, it really pops in the sun!

Wow! Spotless paintwork and super-clean foiling. Very nice

Nice save of an old kit. I love it when I see resurrections like this
-
Very imaginative! Lovely details and weathering

Looks like a nice kit of a nice car. A few years back, I had a boss who collected these. He had one of the short-wheelbase versions, too. You did a great job on yours

I admit, the body style doesn't really do much for me, but I can easily see it's a fine build. The colour scheme works well.
-
You smashed this one out of the park, Andy! That olive drab paint gives it a sense of menace, too. I love the engine details and the underside is also cool
-
Lazarus! I bet you're glad you got around to tidying the loft, now? I wish I still had some of my old models.. Nice gloss, btw

Clean...! Nicely detailed and a crisp build.
-
Very kool indeed! I like the stance, colour, engine, wheels...etc.

Man, that thing looks EVIL! I love so much about this build. The clever sectioning, the weathering, in fact..the whole concept. I dig the split screen with the centre rib. Are those rear tyres SATCO Mickey Thompson's?
-
That paint has a mile-deep shine! Fantastic build. The interior looks like it was made for it.

Sehr gut, Jeurgen! Good colour choice and super-neat BMF. I love the engine details, too. The fuel filter looks especially realistic. Another thing I noticed, was the flat bottoms to the tyres. Not many people seem to do this, but it does seem to give the model some 'weight'. It looks good on your build.

A clean build. I love the stance. Those Pegasus wheels are goood, aren't they? I used some on a recent 59 Caddy build.

A very clean and well executed build. The time you spent with the BMF, really paid-off. It looks superb.
