  1. Yeah, sort out those tailights and it'll be killer! Beautiful finish on the paint. Foil work looks crisp, too. Hats off to you fitting hydraulics! I wouldn't know where to start with that!
  2. I bet you're gutted to have sold the 1:1 I've just built a '60. I like the tailights of the 61, but I prefer the flat fins of the '60 Nice build and an amazing way to hold on to your memories!
  3. Nice sled. Nice colour and choice of wheels How about cleaning your camera lens? The pics look a bit fuzzy
  4. I agree! But that's also the reason why I like them! They make a nice change from rivet-counting, though.
  5. Sehr gut Karsten! Seriously, it looks like a real car. The headlights are so realistic! The paint is immaculate and the trim is so perfect. I'd love to build one of these, but I have neither the space, skill, time or money.

    Morgan 4/4

Very tidy build. Clear over the styrene works well with Tamiya quality bodies. Some of the AMT or Revell kits in my stash wouldn't stand up to that treatment, The wheels look nice. Is it 1/24?
  7. You properly did it justice, Steve. 1st class work. I love the fins and sculpted tail lights on these Chryslers. The wheels and stance look just right, too. Lovely job.
  8. I've been there and had a go on their test track and skid-pan. Your polishing technique looks very good, Doug. The decal application is very neat, too. The interior looks very crisp, as well.
  9. Classy! Real clean execution. I'll have to investigate the Modelhaus kits,. By the look of yours, they're worth checking out. I saw a 59 Lincoln in the Concours de Elegance, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. A Dutch guy owned it. Quite amazing amounts of steel from every angle.
  10. Sweet build! Love the colour. You got a good gloss on that paint. Can I make a suggestion? You might want to try giving the radiator grill a black wash to give the recesses some depth. Maybe flow some into the panel lines while you have your wash mixed.
  11. Here's my latest build. A bit of fun, really. Apart from cleaning up a lot of parting lines, it went together easily. I used some parts-box Cragars and GoodYears to replace the kit tyres and rotated the engine top 180 degrees so the magneto is at the rear of the engine, as it is in the photos I referenced. Thanks for looking
  12. Woweee! Some really great builds there, guys!
  13. Very nice! I love all the tiny details. The rug looks great
  14. 3 days!!?? That's hardly enough time to let the paint dry! Did you drink a gallon of coffee and stay up for 72 hours? Well, I reckon you did it real justice. Lovely colour combo and a real transformation!
  15. Terrific job on both! Working on other scales is good practice, i reckon.
  16. Beautiful work Very precise and detailed builds like this motivate me to improve my skills. I appreciate the amount of research necessary to get all the details correct. Yeah....I like this a lot.
  17. Old Fords never die....they just go faster! Completely fantastic! I grew up seeing Capri's on the roads. A mate of mine had a Mk2 with the Cologne V6. What a superbly built model! A real beauty!
  18. Nice one Tony. That's loads better
  19. Nice build with some tasty detail. For a phone camera, your shots sure turned out well. Love that colour. all the polishing was worth it. It looks mint.
  20. very clean build. interior looks as good as the exterior super work. i hope it's got a prominent shelf position!
  21. How can something so ugly be so beautiful?!?! You did an excellent job on this. The level of detail is outstanding! I love it!
  22. Splendid job! I looked at this kit...now I gotta get one!! Nice touch with the crate engine. Two minor criticisms....and they are only tiny things: Take the shine off the tyre treads. It makes them look more realistic. The headlight lens seems to be in crooked, not with the refraction lines vertical. I hope you're not offended. It's such a nice build, but these details would make it even better
  23. I believe Photobucket has tools to resize, crop, flip and some other things. Try playing around with a copy of a shot you took. If you adjust the pictures you posted here, you might need to edit your post and re-insert the IMG code from the adjusted photo. I think it saves changes as a new file, so your changes won't appear on a posting unless you do the edit. I've used Photobucket for years. It's quite good and you can manipulate images easily. I hope this helps
  24. Wow! A real showstopper/winner! Amazing realism. Looks like it's 1:1! I also didn't expect the flip-up body. A very nice touch and yes, those blue streaks look perfect on the rear. Top skills.
  25. Love it! Thanks for showing us and letting us in on your tricks for shading.
