I'd never heard of them until you posted this, so thanks for the info! They look like great paints to work with. It's a shame I don't think I can get them here in Australia though. The one and only stockist I found had a warning that they don't ship overseas as it's a restricted paint. Must have some pretty interesting stuff in it! I only had a super brief look into it on my lunch time but I shall look into them more soon. Thanks again and your build is astonishing! You've got a great finish on it and the scheme really smashes it in terms of choice. It's taking all my will power not to buy one because of this build

Thanks Dann I took a couple of moody shots before the Display Case entry which I'll hopefully do later this weekend

I'd forgotten how beautiful this car looks. Certainly one of their curvier ones of that era. Looks awesome in blue too. Fantastic build!

Now that I am finally back to my PC and I now remember my password, I can now say how much I am loving this build. I would also love to know what Green your using as it looks spectacular. So much so that it's making me want to go buy one Looking forward to seeing this one progress for sure Thanks for posting it

love these machines ever since we had one living next door to us when I was in my early tweens. It was also black and I loved it when he used to drive it on the weekends. I didn't know there was a kit of this out there. Does anyone other than Testors make one? Can't wait to see this one come along

Thanks very much guys. Sorry for the late response - just got back from holidays and I haven't been able to access the forums I'm hoping to have this finished in the next couple of days, so here are the last WIP pics I have for this build. I've added some wires into the cabin for interest. I doubt very much that it is in any way accurate but you won't see much inside once it's done I bought a CB decal sheet from BNA which will suit my purpose just fine. That's it but thanks for looking in Si

I can't believe that's a snap kit- that looks fantastic. Great looking Mustang. I love that Metallic Blue

thanks guys! Dan, I might have a look for a CF Decal sheet instead. If you have any recommendations, I'll be happy to hear them I had a couple of hours to myself this afternoon, so I took a few pictures of how it's looking now. Well, that's it now until the weekend when I next get a chance to sit down and build. Still lots of things to do yet and lots of little touch ups. As we all know, the list is never ending Thanks for looking Si

I'd love to do an FXX-K as a street car. I've seen your work so your post inspires me. Thanks Dan - I'm stoked to know that I'm not the only one who's stripe and sponsor averse. Mind you, I won't deny I almost went with matte black with a same coloured red as what's on there now stripe running along the bonnet and roof line scheme here, but I am going to stick to my plan here. Actually, on that subject, what in your (or anyone else's )opinion would be the best paint to replicate gloss CF for the roof? I'm just thinking I might go a gloss black with a touch of grey? I found some time this afternoon to take a few photos outside before it began to rain There's still a few touch ups to do and I haven't sprayed on the semi gloss clear over the cockpit, so it looks a little to shiny at this point Chassis is starting to come together. I have fixed up the exhaust pipes so they meet the other bit and will weather them all shortly Well, that's all I have for now, but feel free to post any view points you may have - they don't have to be 'atta boy' words. Thanks for looking Si

thanks gusy I have done some work on this and have put on the CF decals into the cockpit. It's my first time ever using this kind of decal and I have learnt a fair bit I'm waiting on the black to dry on the main body before I start spraying the Alclad etc and I'll start painting the rest of the interior this weekend hopefully I'm surprised at how many parts there are too The engine is coming along nicely: The cockpit so far: And a test fit of the lower side panels. I have no idea what that odd mark is above the fins but you can't see it in the flesh Excuse the average photos but it's dark outside and I won't get another chance to take any pics for a few days in the daylight Thanks for looking Si

You know - I had never noticed that until you pointed it out. I'm thinking its just there for show and the entire lot comes off as one piece on the real car. I'll do some Google image searching later to confirm that I had similar concerns as well but I found by thinning the red out a lot, it sprays very smoothly. You just can't do it in one sitting otherwise you get pooling and it'll ruin the effect. I might do a test spray of some yellow over the red to see what effect that has. It may well enhance it even more. Thanks for the idea!

Hey guys I've decided to do a small WIP on this one as I am not a car modeller so am hoping to pick up tips as I go along from the vast experience here This is my start to the Revell BMW Bruno Spengler machine that I have decided to do as a street car. This kit is hard to come by now and I know some of you may be cringing at the thought of doing what I intend to do to it but I'm OK with it I've only just started and I am not a fast builder, but if you do see something that is clearly wrong or could be better, please tell me - I am all ears This is the colour I'm going to go with: I have a set of CF decals to use with it, so it should break up the red nicely. The paint is Tamiya Clear Red over Alclad Stainless Steel if you want to know See you all again soon Thanks and regards Si

Wow - this would be the best example I have seen of this kit yet. And it's not red! I really like this and have come back twice now to look at it. Really great work

thanks very much guys And thank you too Corvette King! High praise indeed I do like that CF finish. I've found Tamiya Dark Iron to be a pretty close match to that colour and have painted a few things in it - it looks great and is quite universal. Cool picture BTW! Thanks Si

thanks very much guys! I'm very happy with how it came out. I realised that I forgot to add the exhaust tips to the sides, which has since been remedied.

Hi guys As a side project to my Star Destroyer, I have been building Revell's C-7R after being inspired by Ismael's amazing machine. However, I didn't go down the yellow road, I went down the black road. Thankfully, I didn't have any issues getting my body to fit on or have any interference in the engine and the hood areas. I am painfully aware of the paint bleed at the rear and the other finish issues it has - I will try to fix that up soon. The rear wing is also slightly off which is of course something I fixed AFTER I took the photos. Opps. I took a couple of shots to show the interior before it went in as you don't get to see it all now Well, that's it. It was a fun little side project and I'm glad I did it. It looks like a Corvette and to me, that's what matters Thanks for looking Si

This is another build I was looking at on my phone and thinking I need to see it on a bigger screen to really appreciate how cool this is. I love the original art work to - it's like a more plausible Ian McQue inspired subject. What caps did you use for those thrusters? I've been pondering doing a flying Mustang but was hitting snags on how to model the wheel thrusters and you've just shown me how - thanks!

thanks guys - I'm stoked you all appreciate it As a matter of fact, I am almost finished my C7R, so yes - a car subject will be shown soon (provided I can stop fighting with the paint!) I wouldn't mind building the Estafette one day either: https://industriamechanika.com/shop/land/26-her-majesty-s-estafette-.html
