unfortunately no - it bled out over the front and it's ruined the bonnet finish. Because there are 3 colours involved with the overall scheme, I'd have to repaint the entire bonnet. There were also another couple of areas I wasn't happy with, so a complete strip back isn't such a bad thing in this case as I can now fix up those niggling issues

I really really love that colour. It suits it perfectly I wish we could get it here in Australia

Unbelievable! I had just posted these pics and went to touch up the black on the front and wouldn't you know it - the bloody paint bled underneath the tape and has ruined the bonnet. So, I will have to strip it right back to bare plastic and start again. Great I guess it won't be finished this weekend as planned then Maybe I might go for a different colour. What do you think of matte black with a metallic red asymmetric line running over the bonnet roof and tail?

So, it's been repainted and is almost ready now for the final assembly which will be done this weekend hopefully It's a little darker now but I love how the green comes through underneath in varying light. Really happy with this effect Next post will hopefully be the final shots Thanks for looking Si

Disaster struck last night when I sprayed on some Tamiya clear from a rattle can. It ruined the paint work by melting the top layer in some places and pitting it in other areas. So it was out with a sander and some primer. A hair dryer sped along the gloss black under coat followed by the primary under lying colour I guess it was my fault for spraying a lacquer over the thin acrylic top coat. Next time I'll use the SMS or the Alclad clear. As I said, I got the base colour back on after a marathon painting session. It's looking better so far than the first time. Anyway, I'll leave it to dry now before the top colour coat goes on. I might even add a touch of green to the mix as well

As it turned out, I got 30 minutes to myself, so I took a few pictures outside before it rains again. Interior (with cup holders) Engine bay with screen off and on: What the wheels will look like (still have the nuts to paint) And the body before clear coat - although I literally just had an incident involving glue and the back end. Repaint coming up That's all I have but thanks for indulging me with my build

that colour really suits it. Very well done!

that's a really nice looking Gallardo. Love the window tint

thanks guys. I ran a small wash over the seats and it seems to have fixed it somewhat, but they are still not up to the standard I was hoping for. I'l find some time this weekend to take some photos of where it's at now. The inside is almost finished and ready for the body - which I am still painting. It's looking quite nice I have to say. I'm very happy with how it's come out Thanks again for your interest guys

thanks Aydin It was a bit steep for me @ $141au but I feel it was worth it. Only time will tell if that's true or not.

small update Got most of the interior done. These pics highlight how not very good I am at detailed painting. I'm going to have to try get in and fix those seats. They look dreadful The base colour coat has gone down and is currently drying. Once it's dry, I'll lightly polish it ready for the next coat to go over the top. The final effect is really nice. Or at least is was on the test subject The paint is SMS Blue Green Pearl. It can sprayed over a black base for the metallic pearl effect or over white for a true pearl effect. I tried both but preferred the metallic look with the next colour over the top - which is clear blue. Also, the metal rims got a light coat of clear blue Anyway, that's all I have but thanks for looking in Si

That's here I got this set from, but thanks anyways

Yes, I'll admit I really sat on the fence for ages as to whether or not to spend that much money on an AM set, but my desire for it over took my ability to reason Your quite right in that they do have a lot of cool things though. Very cool. I'd like to do a new gen Skyline GTR with a similar body kit but it shall remain a wish whilst the cost is prohibitive

I've been dying to get home so I can post on this thread. This is just so awesome on every level.! That green is amazing! I am so going to steal that tape on the tire idea one day - just saying. Very well done on all counts
-
Thanks for the interest guys. It is a sexy beast alright and I think I have nailed the final colour, so here's hoping it turns out as awesome as it does on the test subject The body is currently drying under the first coat of primer. Lots of sanding to be done. The resin parts fit nicely. Only a small amount of clean up required. The rims are polished metal and they look amazing! The only let down of any kind are the tires. I thought they were resin until the package arrived last night and I realised they were this flexible resin (?) which needs a fair amount of flash removed from them. Lots of PE and they even give you seat belts including the locking bit and this nice fabric for the belts. You even get PE cup holders - which I thought was a nice touch

hi everyone I haven't seen too many WIP threads about this kit so I thought I would do one here if you're interested in such a machine I fell in love with the NSX when I saw this body kit attached to it. I love that low fat backside and the aggressive, angular front. I like it in red but I am currently experimenting with other colours. I have one in mind and I think it'll suit it nicely. The body kit is from Hobby Design. You get all the PE etc and nice wheels - although I haven't used a resin tire like this before I've started off by going a few steps ahead in the instructions and made the engine first I've also made the center console and have started painting the seats. That's all I had pics of sorry Well, thanks for stopping in and having a look Have a good week everyone! Si

With great difficulty I use a cotton bud for most of the ducts etc. Works quite well for the most part Thanks for following along on the WIP David. I'm thinking I might use the same method for the NSX except instead of red, using clear blue

thanks guys I'll take your advice Brian and leave it as is. Enjoy your weekend guys Si

Hi guys Finally fond some time to take some pictures of my recently finished BMW DTM done in Dark Metallic Red. It's come out OK but it won't win any shows. I still need to polish it with fine compound but I will do that in the next week or so. Thanks to those who looked in on the WIP. [/url Next car up will be Tamiya's new Honda NSX with LB Worx Body Kit (once I've built it that is) Thanks for looking Si

Mate that's an amazing build! Hope to see this at Expo this year?

I just came across this page and saw that there is a Pantera PE set in here (just over 1/2 > 2/3 of the way down) that may be of use to you: http://www.acustion.com/index.html2e.html

Great looking interior. That leather looks real in some of those pics.

not much to be said that hasn't been said already - fantastic build!

I am not even going to pretend to know what would be wrong about your C/F

I can see my license just floating away when I look at those massive turbos. I love those exhaust pipes on that middle one. Somehow I don't think they'd suit my daily drive though
