  1. Thank you David! Sometimes you have to try new techniques. That was one of those... CT
  2. Hi Ray! Well, you, for your part, never fail to encourage me, never! Motivates me to do better, thanks! CT
  3. Hi Oliver! Thank you. This Chevy design is so timeless, just a smidge of contemporary touches does it! CT
  4. Hi David! Thank you for the comments. That Testor Siver Dust extreme lacquer is, indeed, very coarse metallic-wise... like all their metallic line, as a matter of fact. But if you clear and polish to a great gloss, does-it sparkle! CT
  5. HI! Always loved that body style, but the AMT (nee MPC) kit was a bit disappointing. So: shave the moldings, mold-in the front grille bezel, roll pan and tail gate. Scratchbuild a floor pan, door panels, tunnel and console, rear tubs, tonneau cover and "Texas gate" style tube grille, hood hinges + flush fit smooth tail light, Ridetech compressor and reservoir, disc-brakes, etc. The chassis/powertrain is the 39 Chevy Wagonrod's Morrisson air-suspended unit, lenghtened to fit. Parts box late Camaro wheels and Dodge Caravan seats. Testor's Diamond dust & clear. Molotow's chrome. Wired & plumbed. Hours of fun with styrene! CT
  6. Hi Jim! Thank you for your "customer service" follow-up. I will, from now on, pay attention to anything published about Mr. Bischoff creations. Very impressive and inspirational! Regards, CT CT
  7. Thank you Steve! Only thing missing to truly pay hommage to the era would be "variegated gold leaf" lettering. Oh well... CT
  8. Terrible news. He was a giant in his field. And his on-line newsletters (for lack of a better term) were so well-written and full of historical perspective. His masthead read "Committed to integrity". Indeed. Godspeed, Sir! CT
  9. Hi Chris! Thanks for the comments. But, judging from your joice of words, I fear you are a case of "sweet tooth"!?! Same here! LOL. So much styrene (and sugar), so little time... CT
  10. Hi Trevor! Thanks for the compliments. It would be great to have you in Quebec city for the fall model expo. This is a very well-run event, that features about 600 models, and a few thousands visitors. Happens in the basement of a local church, and free parking is abundant. Many well-stocked vendors are on site. Door prizes are given. Trophies and plaques are awarded according to popular vote, and some judged categories. It is also possible to fill the registration forms for your model in advance, via their website: saves time when you check in! Usually, by 4:30, the award ceremony is completed. The event is scheduled for october 16th. I'll get back to you, on this very post, to give you the emails and FB links for you and others to consult. As to my friend Francis Laflamme outstanding Dodge PU... Francis should be there, and easy to find: just follow the crowd! LOL. Seriously, be warned: you'll want to spend hours discovering all the minute details. Your back will ache! LOL. More later! CT
  11. Hi Alan! Thank you for the comments. Your Gremlin should be fun. Just to tease you, here's one I converted to a 4WD rallye car... CT
  12. Hi Phil! Totally in line with the original, and truly unique. Bravo! CT
  13. Hi Samuel! Again, thanks for this report. Your "pics" are sharp, and your "picKs" are instructive. Mucho quality here! CT
  14. Hi Samuel! Thank you for sharing this, and bravo for the trophies you and your daughter brought home! CT
  15. Hi Neil! Thanks for the pics! CT
  16. Hi Bruce! Thanks for the comments. But don't be shy, and give a try to your favorite FC. Judging from your Cobras, it can only be outstanding! CT
  17. Hi Mark! Thanks for the extensive coverage. Many great ideas here. Bravo! CT
  18. Salut Mario! Wow, truly world-class, and perfectly "believable". Bravo! CT
  19. Hi Roger! Thanks for the compliments. If you happen to find one of those old Johan FC... Grab it! They are rare, and fun to put in your display case! CT
  20. Thank you Ricky! Nowaday, there can't be too many AMC models around. I still have a Hornet sedan and a Pacer in my stash, and trying to figure how to build them in a "different" way. We'll see! CT
  21. Hi Ryan! You certainly made the most of a kit that we rarely see finished to this level. Bravo! CT
