  1. Hi RRR! The side view does not lie: all the gaps are top-notch. Bravo! CT
  2. Hi Eric! Fantastic transporter... and that would be, INDEED, fantastic cargo! It begs to be recreated in styrene. Hope you go ahead with it... CT
  3. Hi Sam! Thanks for the pic. Promising start. I can already smell the delicious fumes (not talking about the glue, but the food, of course!) On my pizza-truck, I used styrene stock to make the cabinets/counters, and finished them with some Krylon "chrome spray" from Micahel's, just for fun... and it turned out to have a "legit" sst patina. But of course, NOTHING can beat the real thing. So, flashing should be great! Keep on! CT
  4. Hi Charles! This is really "picture perfect", the details are ultra-realistic. Bravo! I am truly impressed by your windshield treatment. Masterful! CT
  5. Hi Sam! Thanks for the comments. May-we see a sneak peak of the trailer? I.m curious... CT
  6. Thank you Gerald. Happy you like it. Countless hours of fun with styrene... CT
  7. Hi Steve! Welcome among us. This is a suberb mash-up, it truly looks "factoty". Bravo! CT
  8. Hi Tim! Nice to meet you too! Thanks for the infos, I'll keep an eye on it, so who knows, we may meet there in 22... As for the NSRA, I'm certain we crossed paths, since it is not a huge show, and moving around, we keep bumping into the same great folks, so.. A copper 32 Ford 32 3W, or a bright yellow 38 Coast to Coast cabriolet, or a 33 3W coupe in Burple and vanilla shake. See some pics below. As for my friend Francis, he has an ongoing thread on this forum in the WIP Drag cars ( a Dodge pick-up), under the handle American Muscle Car Fan. Francis is an extraordinary talented machinist/model builder, and is very good natured. You could leave him a personnal message via the thread, and I'm certain he'll get back to you. Beware: his builds are habit-forming! Hope to chat more soon. Regards, CT
  9. Hi Patrick! Actually, some strange things happen to me in the basement when I sit at my workbench... Some styrene Voo-doo curse, maybe? I don't know, but it sure feels fun! CT
  10. Hi Sir! Well, then, you are quite a resin caster! I envy your talent. Bravo, and I can't wait for the Toro... and Riviera! CT
  11. Hi Tim! As you can see, the critics are unanimous. If I may, one question: there used to be an IPMS event, every other year, I believe, just south of Burlington. I know it was held in 2019. Do you know if it is still going on, and do you have any comments on this event? If the border ultimately reopens after Covid, I may try to attend. I was a regular participant in the NSRA Nationals in Essex-Junction for about 15 years, with my 1/1 rods over the years. I LOVE your neck of the woods! CT
  12. Hi Grzegorz! Nice builds, both look very detailed. Bravo! May-I ask who manufactured those kits? I've never seen any of this platform-generation. I mostly looked for the Riviera variation, but it could be kit-bashed from this kit, I guess? CT
  13. Hi Jason! Your jig is very clever. It seems to be made from styrene stock? I envy your surgical application of glue in such closed quarters. I would be too old to attemps that... Ah, the joys of youth! Mine are made of wood, more forgiving for shakes. Getting older by the day, you know. Those struts are world class, they look 1/1. Keep on, impressive! CT
  14. Hi Fabrizio! Wow, very convincing! Your patina and wear are world class, bravo! To your point about this kit: it's just like life, I guess... It's not what you start with, it's what you make of it. You nailed it! CT
  15. HI! I always knew there was something magic in the atmosphere of Vermont! Seriously, world class work. I concur, Mr. Boyd. Bravo! CT
  16. Thank you JJ! I have not seen that Golf you are taking about, but I take your word for it. CT
  17. Hi Shawn! Great build, and a promising start! My two cents: this car with no wing is thumbing your nose at history... but we live in 2020, right? You may want to borrow from most of the "retro-design" cars of late, like the Mustang, New Beetle, Thunderbird, Camaro and all, improving on the original design cues.. and seriously shorten the pillars of your oem wing. Might get rid of the frayed base section (less scratchbuild to do), and make it more contemporary? Still a wing, but revisited. For what it's worth, IMHO. Keep on, it's interesting! CT
  18. Hi Kevin! Well, what else to say but.. Thank you! CT
  19. Hi Johnny! With a tail wind, maybe... LOL! CT
  20. Hi Johnny! I guess we can all agree that this is an "in your face" display of muscle... I wonder what kind of fuel milage that creation would get? CT
  21. Hi Jackson! One close design would be the Foose F100 pick-up rollingstock. Less "minimalist" at the junction of spokes and barrel, but sizes that may fit (picture). CT
  22. HI Eric! Quite a ride in the time machine... to the late 60's! I remember when I custom-painted 1/1 vans in this manner. Groovy, as they said back then. Keep on truckin! CT
  23. Hi Mike! Just to be clear... This Impala is Jason Schofield's build. It IS a beauty. I'm just a pedestrian walking by on this tread and complimenting Jason about it. I'd like to claim it as one of my builds, but alas, not this time! CT
