Rolls-Royce No Chemicals, No Paint, No Harmful Glues
Mattilacken replied to Anglia105E's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Sad to hear about your condition but glad to hear your spirit! I do also use Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics( tamiya are smelly) but the Vallejo cleans out nicely with water, sure over time I might get buildup of paint in the upper part of the brush. But soaking them and wipe them on paper works very good. Keep the build going! Will be following! -

Glad you sorted it. Itβs an old kit and many things could have been better but many of them can be corrected as well.
-
Super cool build! I like it allot!
-
Nice! I must try these 1/12 kits at some point, but my problem with at least the 1/16 kits from US manufacturers that I want to make them so much more real than my 1/25 builds.. which becomes such a hurdle. π hope you best of luck

Nice progress! Interesting how different our two builds look

So I did bring this one back from the storage and made some progress on it for the CBR this year before I ditched it since I kind of lost interest in it and a Hemi in 1975 must have felt as a gas gussler due to the energy crisis. Well after reading up on racing in a classic car mag over here I saw that Chrysler in France actually raced the 1971 cuda as well as Gurneyβs β70 cuda. They raced these Al the way untill 1975. And if I remember correctly the team owner (much like the later Orica team) was quite alone at the time racing them. They did swap Hemi engines in all the cars even Gurneyβs car. I remember reading that it was a problem on circuits like SPA where they had to refuel very often, might have been as often as every 6 lap, due to the length and nature of the track. any how, primed the car and shot a base coat and decided now to keep it and ad racing decals much like if it was a old European race car.

Beautiful work on that engine! -
I have done some work and shot some primer, and yes it was way to damp.. 55% but itβs gray at least. Might have a go during the day to morrow with a second coat.
