Thanks. Not yet, it’s still in progress.. I think I got fed up with it when I kind of messed up the toning of the rear windows… will bring it up and Finnish it soon. -

Cool! Well it should be the same kit and the impala is a snap kit even though they don’t advertise it on the box. I believe the engine is 6 pieces or so. here is the build thread: -
Thanks every one. i have felt that this display was a bit small for what I need so I went ahead and made some new brick wall backdrops that I printed on the A3 printer and then I bought a thick cardboard same as architects use I guess, and then made this garage setup.

Nice, did you make any more progress on this one?

Great looking build! I have been looking at this kit manny times but have not gone for it yet

Did some more work on this. Have cut of the diffusor so I can ad one that I made which is more accurate. Also cut off all the steering components to make it posable. I did also ad some detail to the rear a arms with stretched spruce I did some bolt detail which they lack completely. The new wheels and lights are also seen here. It’s what I have seen the 1:1 have when you strip the body. |

I have been poking around with the corvette later I made the rear arches flow a bitt better since it’s hard to se on the 1:1 where they are wider than their predecessor. And I did also open up the lexan window frame so it looks more proportional I did also thin out the body so I later can modify the cage so it comes further up to the body. Or see how I can lower it lower over the chassis.

Made some new fasteners for the front and also a new placement of the front coilovers that are a bit more interesting. And the C5r got some adjustments to the fenders that I cut apart earlier and moved outside to represent the 003 and later chassis. I also opened up the window frames to be able to see the proportions and to be able to modify the cage later so it comes flush to the body.

My building steam has been low.. or my steam over all have been low. Made some progress on my ship build and I also mad an effort on the MB but paint got ruined so it went in the pond. But then I got down in the stash to look at my different projects and this one came out.. got some alignment done tonight and drilled in working hood pins for the front clip.

Sweet build! Like everything about it! Some shots from low quarter view would been killer.

Can’t speak for Moebius but Tamiya are nice kits but some are a bit simplistic compared to say Fujimi Entusiast series or even amt but Tamiya fit is great! and yes these are pricey, have one still unbuilt in the stash with sealed bags inside, will keep that one for an other build further down the road.

Nice progress. Engine looks spot on with the washes and the tennis balls are a nice touch!

That’s a really good looking custom! Everything seems to work with each other. Great craftsmanship from your part as well making the build look easy!
