  1. Here is the car I sprayed, it had more shine before I sprayed it Thanks, I'll wait and see how the humidity goes before I try polish, I don't get along with the polish to well!!
  2. My base coat is MM Lacquer that was sprayed over 7 years ago and it is smooth, I plan on trying again as soon as the humidity goes down some, which is unlikely here in the mountains of East Tenn. I also have a body that I painted 6 months ago with Dupli-Color, I may use it as a test, if that fails I'll most likely go back to Future...Man I miss the old enamels! Thanks for the help Current temp and humidity here; 66 degrees and 89% h
  3. The red can, at first it looked nice and glossy like the Chevelle above, then all of a sudden the gloss turned flat.
  4. This stuff is extremely sensitive to humidity, it's 79 degrees and 54% humidity, well within the recommended range on the can, and it went flat within 5 minutes. Comments?
  5. Not here to argue the point with you, and no I can not show a picture, so, are you saying that Hoosier made pie crust slicks just for the hell of it? I doubt that... So show me pictures of ALL the drag cars you mention from the time period, just like me I doubt you can, so that just proves neither point. Good day.
  6. Yes, Hoosier was there back then, https://www.hoosiertire.com/history/ Take note of the photo showing a pie crust slick!!
  7. Bob, not to hijack your thread, but here is a good read on "period" slicks. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/early-racing-slicks.1036192/ Here is a pic of a sheet that is at megahobby. https://www.megahobby.com/products/drag-racing-tire-logos-2-racemaster-hoosier-firestone-1-24-1-25-gofer-racing.html
  8. Chassis looks good.. Justa side note, kit comes with power steering suspension, but no psi pump!!
  9. Awesome Mustang you built,
  10. Gotta love some Mustang, I'll be following along, might help me get going on mine.
  11. Good looking T, thanks for showing.
  12. The two sheets I got last week came directly from them.
  13. that they only ran out of stickers and had to use the Chrome stickers Would have saved a lot of confusion if they had just used a marker to label it. But, and this is my 2 cents worth, I think they were trying to pull one over to get rid of the stuff!! Anyhow, I will not purchase any more till its been fixed, I'll just continue to build stuff without chrome trim. Remember the 90's? Paint everything the same color!!
  14. Here is the box cover for Canned Heat, shows the rear wheels and slicks, along with the scoops. Cool stuff... I'm building my Outlaw without the Roth front piece and using a stock T radiator.. I may try and find some wheels like the CH has.
  15. Thanks Mark, I did notice on the instruction sheet drawing that the rear wheels looked to be some sorta mag wheel. Good stuff to know, Thanks again.
  16. I'm working on this kit and the instruction tell me that parts 47/47A and 50/50A are not used, they appear to be some type of carb air scoops. So my question is, has this sprue tree {it also has the trophy and displays parts} ever been released in another kit? Thanks
  17. Couldn't say for sure what the original use of BMF are, maybe something in the electronics field? but this MIGHT be close? But quite expensive. https://www.thomassci.com/Laboratory-Supplies/Sealing-Films/_/PlateSeal-QuickApply-Dispenser-with-Pre-Scored-Chemical-Resistant-Foil?q=Adhesive Foil
  18. So that is why the two sheets I just got from BMF feel thicker than I'm use to, stuff is a waste, and it sticks like you know what....guess it's time to learn how to use the pens or build stuff that doesn't require chrome trim be applied..
  19. I only tune in the TV when there are British comedies on.. Last of The Summer Wine is my all time favorite show...
  20. Mods, please delete post. Thanks

  21. Not a thing wrong with that yellow, decal colors work perfect with it..
  22. Zip, you might want to do some test fitting of the interior WITH the windshield in place, its a bit snug to say the least.
  23. Guess we will never know, he hasn't been around since 2014,
