  1. I just right clicked the thumbnail , chose the ''save picture as'' option . it goes in my pictures album under my documents folder..when i hit the browse option ...the thumbnail is there..i just double click the one i need...there may be other ways but me being a computer dummy, this works for me..
  2. Thats great John..the build and the ''old school'' items around it look really good..
  3. If it were my model, I would want you guys on my side, if I were the culprit I would run like the wind....awesome board..awesome members...
  4. check with Vince in the original thread maybe on P.S.A.B. at night , he's got the skinney on this model...
  5. I seen this at NNL 13 in Milwaukee...it was awsome...a must see crowd pleaser..
  6. Fantastic build again Tim...I believe the only challenge left for you is to make a set back axle cabover car carrier....your ideas for builds amaze me as much as your builds do..
  7. HHMMM, no doghouse...cummins on its side,,,,learn something new every day,,,,,does the shift tower and shifter itself still stay with the chassis when the cab is raised ? I'm a sucker for those looooong wheelbase tractors. Seen them alot in Montana and in the northwest.....
  8. On P.S.A.B. last night a short topic came up about other things the guys collected...I was amazed what some of the items were that was not model related... heres a few of mine.....I also collect older 40's thru 60's fishing lures , D.A.V. plates from Illinois and started on 1/18th die-cast but after 30 it was taking up way to much room so I held it down to neater looking matchbox size cars..this buying had to slow up also due to room.. and besides model mags...I started on comic books and MAD magazines.. Besides H.O. , 1/32 and 1/25th slot cars and some older toys , thats about it....wife says I'll never grow up
  9. Baby boomer model builder getting bad builds from older cousins thru the 60's. Left models in 1973 got married in 1977, got back into the hobby in 2000 because my visiting brother in law asked for a ride to Als hobby shop, thats all it took, that and I suck at golf
  10. Nice looking Ford James...great foil work. Whats your tire /wheel choice gonna be?
  11. Wow thats cool Mike...and nice work Alex , hope its the start of many more...
  12. I like the combo idea..although the body depicts modern , the 60's dash and drive tunnel between the seats looks to good to pass up...
  13. That interior looks smooooth Ray...I think the whole project looks great..
  14. I won these on -bay for 5 bucks...the news letter is 4 pages and is from nov 14th 1954...the line sheet is I believe is 1953.... product line sheet good stuff ......
  15. Kinda neat seeing one of the oldies being built....and about the collector vs. builder topic....I fall into the other catagory...''Buyer with intent''...I build when I can.. buy cause I must , they never .. ever equal out
  16. Thats the only stuff I use...there are 2 formulas tho' ones sandable the other is a high fill thick primer...I shoot Dupli-color lacquer over it .The gray paint on the Supra in the ''on the bench'' section is actually polished and clear coated dupli-color primer...
  17. I like it Steve...been watching it since the start...that look is awesome
  18. I went with black and gray on the colors..the hood will be Scale motorsports carbon fiber black on bronze . I never did a large area with this stuff , so I hope it works...building this P/E rear wing is a slow process with numerous small pieces...and will be black and carbon fiber also...
  19. The gold and interior colors work well together...very cool
  20. Note to self: this is how its done....harmony and peace , without the loss of members or idle threats of leaving....Two thumbs up for a job well handled to all...........
  21. X Model Cars Magazine Forum Logo Index is all mine says also...no logo
  22. WOW John , thats a smokin' build...pic #2 is an awesome view of the driver and power plant...an over the top build..
  23. Thanks guys....really feels good to get building again. I did find some wheels that fit pretty good, went thru some kits and found these in a Honda S2000 Tamiya kit. The kit came with 2 sets of wheels [silver and gold]....and the Supra tires fit right on the wheels...Ismael I remember earlier this year when you gave up on building cars , its a crummy feeling not wanting to build.....glad thats over
  24. Just painted a Supra chrome yellow...might just be me, but this is twice now on two seperate kits I had to remove the paint and opt for another color....it lays down nice but any place like door handles and scoops that have slight base grooves is where I have problems..
