  1. Stevearado had a thread in ''Kit review'' and I think it was the only 1/32nd I seen here...1/25th&1/24th being the most popular , I know everyone has built one or collects a few... If anything it may have some old memories of our early building..
  2. I have many 1/32nd scale kits..one of the best plastic kits for the money is the Gunze Sangyo 1/32nd. This 1957 cadillac has all the engraved parts including speedo with full interior, rubber tires , 2 chrome trees, wire wheels and stock hubcaps , clear glass including head lights, and a 1piece body. in this series I've seen a 59 chevy, 63 t-bird, 59 eldo,59 ford skyliner, 57 chevy and 55 nomad. They were in the 50's..60's collection circa 1992...they were at most shows pretty cheap, i got this one for 5 bucks at the last hillside show...but then 1/32nd slot-cars were coming back and these kits seemed to dry up... I do have a few of the newer Lindberg kits, including that '49
  3. Thanks Ken, thats good info to know....it does need the little push in the decal area for details.........
  4. Tim your trucks are all fantastic, but the highway surface itself is remarkable, I'm looking at the truck but find my eyes focusing on the road....looks real...
  5. testors Charger Daytona R/T is 1/24th with 150 parts...price 23 to 29 bucks...Lincoln mint ultra detail plastic kit in a ten cent box, outer decals only, dash has a chrome insert but no gauge faces and yet the center console is 5 pieces....not a bad kit , gas door is even a seperate piece..
  6. 3M putty , just spread it on over the area your filling , no mixing , let it dry and sand. On a 1:1 vehicle we used a 2x3 inch x1/4 thick rubber applicator...on a small 1/25th , I used a cut down index card , this stuff is for scatch filling and pin holes , not for shaping or contour
  7. Way to go on that build...talk about ''a look'', were talking real ATTITUDE here..........
  8. This one Model Empire and this Hobby surplus
  9. I always loved the Gullwing, yours is very well done , from the black window grommets to the interior door fabric...I have the Heller 300SL , yours has more chassis detail , what kit is yours?
  10. I really envy the Replica stock builder , and the attention given to even the most minor of details. Great job again Bill, also what did you use for the trunk mat?
  11. On some bondo products the base chemical is ''acetone'' , but I never tried thinning, final coat for pinholes I used a glazing putty made by 3-M . That is nothing more than a very thick primer and can be thinned. It comes in 3 colors , or a ''flowable finishing putty'' as a skin coat and is brushable..
  12. Tom was a standup guy in my book, he spent time at his open house talking with my wife while I did my shopping...he never spoke bad about a kit no matter how bad it was,and stood behind what he supplied to us..... I wish him all the best in his new venture , and hope to catch him in Toledo this year.......
  13. Thanks Matt and Billy, more info than I had.....
  14. Holey smokes...thats awesome....looks perfect...great build, that turquoise makes it ''pop'' .
  15. Ok, I just started collecting these Monogram sprint cars. On some boxes it says ''World of outlaws'' others say ''Gambler''...the ones I have ran in 1987 and 1988 by Monogram.I have 4 different ones and the side panel says collect them all....my question is how many are there?
  16. That looks great John....nice foil work too.......
  17. Nice 63 Billy, havent seen you posting around much this summer , hope all is well.......
  18. Parts pack also had the light bar some other good items....
  19. Came out really cool Dave...
  20. These Tamiya paint stands are the best way to go for under 20 bucks , and it rotates too... holds parts or bodies securely
  21. Going for this look rather than a big sponsored Nascar build , not a ''stock Buick Regal''
  22. Starting with the Miller Buick Monogram kit that was really discounted at Hobby Heavens open house because the body was bad, did the repairs and ready for paint...will be white with black inserts and black roof...all chrome and Nascar items removed....
  23. These are some of the products that make life a little easier remember ...CA glue fogs up clear parts
  24. Hey , somebody moved and didnt tell me....wont loose me that easy....I can work with this if I dont touch anything..
