  1. Thats the nicest '57 300 I've seen built...great work
  2. That has a great stance....mean looking..great build..
  3. Got a small amount done on the rear chassis area and decided on some light weathering on a daily driver. The original choice of wheels for this one are a pain to fit in because of the arm and shaft assembly on the drive line, its not impossible but more work then I want to get involved in right now.Picked the low spots out with ''black detailer'' and dusted with some chalk accents...
  4. Wow...been waiting to see how this one came out and the wait was well worth it....it came out ''Super'' a job well done..
  5. Like Running Buffalo said in McLintock ''Swell party, where's the whisky? ''
  6. I used a die cast springer which is pinned in after...the only other way is to pin the tube . which is pretty easy to do..
  7. Nice weathering on that old work horse Mark...picture setting really sets it off
  8. Hey thats sharp...the weld bead looks cool...theres nothing not to like on that build...awesome work Steve
  9. WOW thats some detail on that one....the wiper holes are a neat touch..great work
  10. 4 day build , my mind wanders that long picking up on ideas let alone get something done....clean build Irv..
  11. Builder blues over?...I hope so, opened up over 20 kits before a few ideas hit...been 6 or so weeks I didnt feel like building anything...this is just an early mock-up but I'm kinda pumped since finding this wheel set up and P/E wing....this is a full detail kit not a curbside, so it should make a nice 'Tuner' style build
  12. Revell makes a military humvee in a snap version.....these snappers ,although curbside, build into nice kits........
  13. Ray I think it will be a great idea for a different build..if you need any photos of a Allied trailer...I'll be happy to shoot some at work.....
  14. Thats not the one I remember Ray... the one I seen had two circle style windows up front...and a more up-dated AVL paint scheme...I do remember some after-market company making a conversion for 1:1 trucks in the late 70s early 80s for a roof style sleeper...the other was a full roof aerodyne style conversion for any cabover truck....although the '76 cabover KW was seen with this from the factory it was odd to see a GMC Astro or IH 4070 'A' with this option...
  15. I do remember a 1:1 freightliner in the late 70s called ''double bingo'' and it was an allied van lines tractor, it had two small windows in the front of the above sleeper....
  16. Awhile back I hosted these pictures for Juha while it was still on the contest table , I dont know Juha it was just a favor to show his latest awesome creation.... http://public.fotki.com/bigtruck199/juha_airio_build/ more pictures here

  21. Great start James, seat looks real good, bed looks awesome with all the usual items. Is that the photo-etch 6 pack holder in the bed ? P/E interior junk is a great set for that kind of build.
