  1. Loving this build. Looks awesome. F8 is my favorite mopar green ! Great job.
  2. I dragged this out of the box and finally finished it. I purchased it off the good ole interweb as a built glue bomb. I wish I took pics prior to restoration but oh well. After stripping it the body turned out to be beautiful so I had a good starting point. Finished in MCW Q5 bright turquoise. Amt 69 GTX convertible donated chassis, suspension, engine compartment and other odds and ends. Revell 69 Charger donated the 440, center console & shifter and pedal assembly. Optioned with W11 14” deluxe wheel covers from Fireball modelworks. Convertible boot and dash from Missing Link. There’s probably details I’m forgetting at this point but questions and comments are always welcome. It’s not exactly contest worthy but I’m very pleased with how it looks sitting on my shelf. I’ve wanted this kit since I was a kid.
  3. Thank you everyone for the compliments
  4. Looks sharp. I’m hoping to getting around to building that one myself. Are there any pics of the motor , chassis and or interior in either of those magazines? I don’t have much in way of reference photos of the mechanicals of that car.
  5. I’ve had this idea kicking around inside my head for a long time . When the latest reissue of it came out I finally had the extra body for the surgery. Front and rear wheels have been moved forward a scale 6” ish. The chassis is from the Mpc 67 gto from the 80’s just slid forward 6” . Engine is a 396 from the Revell ‘69 Camaro topped with a Speed City intake and short stacks. Headers are modified units from the Monogram ‘66 Malibu . Parts box was raided when needed ( I.e. wheels and tires ) . I really wanted this to be a quick and somewhat easy build so I didn’t bother with any extra detailing like wiring etc. Tamiya yellow rattle can with no clear.
  6. The Vette was a on again off again project, the Manx was just a quick fun build and the El Camino was an idea I finally got around to accomplishing. Happy New Year and here’s to hoping for a fun productive year of building to come in 2024 !
  7. Thank you guys !
  8. Thank you Snake! I’m eager to see what you will do with one of these kits. One major thing I’ve come to notice recently is the older I get the more ideas I have but the less time I have.... and that hand just isn’t as steady as it once was..... oh and the eye site ?
  9. Thank you everyone for the compliments and yes Ron, absolutely time for another! ? I’m on this finish ‘em up kick so hopefully more stalled projects to make their way to the finished column. Happy holidays everyone
  10. Massive sigh..... this car has been on and off my bench far too many times for far too many years for various reasons ( mostly fitment issues ) but I’ve finally dragged it across the finish line. It was started as a quick and fun slump buster so I didn’t get carried away with detail, wiring etc. I really just had an idea/vision inspired by those old show car / drag car corvettes I used to see in old Popular Hotrodding and Hot Rod magazines as a kid. Ultimately I just wanted it to look cool sitting on my shelf.
  11. I think we’re pretty much saying the same thing. I’m using Bing or DuckDuckGo AS my web browser (instead of any of the googles ) and utilizing they’re bookmarks feature to link me directly to my favorite websites and research sites. For example, I like to do a lot of research on some of my projects ( like my mpc 69 coronet convertible) and have a ton of sites bookmarked using the Bing browser and their bookmark feature so that I can quickly refer back to them if need be without having to search again. When the project is wrapped up I’ll go in and remove a lot of those bookmarks no longer needed. For me it’s just handy . Like you said and I agree, at the end of the day as long as we accomplish what we set out too than it’s all good. Happy building my friend
  12. Ditto!
  13. I guess I can’t speak to advantages over another method because I’m not very familiar with the other ways. I utilize the bookmark feature in the search engine ( Bing or DuckDuckGo) which brings me right to the site. This way is just easy to me and with DuckDuckGo it cuts down on a lot of other web issues. Is there an easier way or better way...? probably, IDK . But I have been very fortunate that up until this last update I’ve never had any issues with this site . Advantage? Full disclosure, I’m not much of a tech person.
  14. Thank you Dave for the explanation that a non tech person like myself can understand.... I think lol. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!! FRICKIN’ Google!!
  15. This is the one I’m referring to, is this the one you’re talking about? I apologize, I’m not much of a tech person
  16. Thank you Dave for the tip. I appreciate all the work your putting into this. However I just took your advice and did that and tried to use the site with Bing and same issues. Anyone else using Bing or have anymore tips ?
  17. I’m not using my mobile phone, not sure why your assuming that. I’m using an IPad and up until the update I was using Bing which is a search engine. Thankfully the DuckDuckGo APP IS working for me on my iPad . If that wasn’t working my previous method would leave me with a website not working properly ( see my previous post )
  18. I’m still having the same issues while trying to use this site with Bing ( no photos loading, can’t reply to topics, etc ) . Luckily I can still use DuckDuckGo as a work around
  19. I can’t use the site using Bing , problems being pics don’t load/show , can’t reply to any topic other than one I start , activity is gone and site keeps locking up. I’m using Duckduckgo right now so that I can use the site. This way the only issue is activity is still gone
  20. This seems to be the only topic it will allow me to reply to. I’m using Bing but if I try Duck Duck go things seem to be working. Just FYI
