  1. Hobby lobby has plastic bead string for making bracelets that works good for spark plug wires.
  2. I always do the decals last so when i fit the body to the chassis i dont mess them up and have to do them over.
  3. Funkster go to google images and plug in 1964 junior johnson dodge. A picture of his car will be shown.
  4. I'm going to guess black electrical tape.
  5. Tom, thanks for the info on the coin and your family. Just one more question. Was the tape clear, black or masking tape?
  6. Just need to let the putty dry and then smooth it out and prime it.
  7. Have to remove the exhaust from the frame.
  8. Tom, Thank you for your input. i will try to add a 1/25 scale silver dollar to the left side of the dash. The color pictures I have of the car showed the side of the front seat and the rear foundation as a light blue. I searched for 56 ford interior colors and sure enough they had a light blue that year called peacock blue. I think the car started out being a different color and they painted it purple.By the way , are you related to Dennis Setzer?
  9. The finished engine.
  10. Interior is done. Now on to the frame.
  11. Niko, COT stands for Car of tommorow. It is the latest version of what the Nascar's top series drivers drive. They started out with wings and strut supported front splitters but now have a much more pleasing look with a front and rear spoilers.
  12. Interior is done except for the seatbelts. Its going to be a tight fit getting the interior inside the body. I glued the doors shut on the body in order to do the moldings and now getting it iin the body with the doors shut is going to be a challenge. .
  13. I have decided to build Brads 2011 Dodge using the amt cot kit and i will make my own decals for it. If it turns out looking terrible I just wont post it..
  14. I have some, some where. If not I will post the Dodge Buck Baker drove to victory in the 1964 Southern 500. It was the car Junior drove earlier in 1964 before he switched to the #27 Ford.
  15. The painted body. Bmf will take care of the seperation line.
  16. No discouragement, I just do not like resin or paying 40 bucks for something sight unseen. You cannot be sure if everything will fit properly in the kit to the resin body. And its just more fun to do the conversion myself even if its not perfect
  17. Adobe Photodeluxe. It came free with the Astra scanner I bought years ago.
  18. Actually Junior drove the Ray Fox #3 Dodge early in the season before he switched to the #27 Ford in 1964.
  19. I posted them a little out of focus. They are not that fuzzy looking in real life.
  20. Here are the decal sheets. The first is the clear sheet for the white parts of the model. The second is the white sheet for the purple parts of the model. Also on the white sheet to the right are decals for the engine.
  21. Slim, I do not think you would like my decals. They are ink jet printed on testors white paper. you have to cut them out exactly on their edge and then touch up the edge of the decal or a white border will appear around the decal. I wish some one would come up with a printer other than alps that would print with white ink. I could then print on clear paper and feel good about selling my decals.
  22. Great job on both, Slim. I wanted to do Foyt because when I was a kid I filled in for a friend who had a paper route and when I got the papers to deliver he was on the front page of the Houston Chronicle the day after the Firecracker 400. The picture showed him just beating out Issac at the finish line. That photo has always been in my memory banks for some unknown reason. So when I found the old Johan kit i just had to build it.
  23. I got all the decals finished. I just need to paste the decals going on the white parts of the car on to a clear decal sheet and the decals for the purple parts of the car need to go on a white decal sheet. I will post pictures of the sheets when finished.
  24. Where did you purchase the Hudson model?
  25. Great start, Nikko. Especially like the interior.
