I'm sure that this has happened to each member of this forum at least once or twice but some inconsiderate jerk stormed straight to the counter of my local Dunkin Donuts that I stop my every morning on my way to work instead of waiting in line like everybody else. Everybody in line gave the dude so much heat that he ran out the door without so much as an apology. Totally unreal.

It also became a movie star when it appeared in the 1980 film "The Hollywood Knights" with Tony Danza as it's owner. I cringed when it got smoked by the AC Cobra with the two guys in it in the impromptu drag race at the traffic light. Even 40 plus years after the film's release, I'm still cringing over it.

'59 El Camino

SWEET! -
Earlier this year, I got a model of a nice built 57 Chrysler 300 from someone on E Bay who lives an hour from my house here in Massachusetts and was sent via the USPS. While tracking it, it ended up in New Orleans and it sat at the USPS facility for a few days before it was shipped to my house. I kept the seller updated on the delay and he was surprised as I was.

I didn't have my favorite brand of instant coffee this morning which is "Taster's Choice" I did food shopping over the weekend and couldn't find a jar of it. It's that popular. I had "Folgers" instead.

Let's See Some Glue Bombs!

I tried different ways to upload images on my computer before as advised by some posters but it's as cranky as can be for some reason. However. I got a 1988 Chevy long bed pickup last weekend at a flea market that was missing both front wheels and axles for$3. Otherwise, the truck was in great shape. A set of Pegasus mags and tires took care of that. I used thin axles and they give the truck a cool low stance when it's on all fours. I'm also going to be in the market for a new computer soon. I wanna share my builds too. -
When I was a kid in the early 1970s, my dad was a big fan of the Sunday Night Mystery Movie that showed Columbo and McMillan & Wife on NBC and when that theme was played, he would say, "The weekend is over. School's back in session on Monday" I'm sure others remember going through that as well.

I tried Bob but my computer for some reason won't take the upload of the pictures from my cell. Sorry about that.

I'll give it the college try

Thank you. I tried uploading pics before but for some reason when I do try, my computer hasn't been quite cooperative. Sorry about that.

A lady friend and I went to the fleamarket in Salem New Hampshire yesterday and I wound up buying a 1988 Chevy Longbed Promo for only $3.00. It's missing the front wheels and axle but the truck is in mint shape. An unopened pack of Pegasus mags and tires will help solve that. The axles that I'll be using will be thin but once the truck is sitting on all fours, it'll look like it's lowered into the weeds. Taking models like this that are incomplete and fixing them up is what I like doing.

AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck

I have a pro built 1960 Ford pickup in my collection of "Crown Jewels" as I like to call them. I tried to upload photos of it and the other vintage models but my computer for some reason doesn't like to cooperate. -
Just had the trusty 97 Honda Accord in the shop today for a routine oil change and tire rotation and have a very annoying squeak in the driver's side rear door taken care off. And the bill was quite reasonable. With car running like a champ, a lady friend and I will be heading to a couple of flea markets on Sunday in New Hampshire just to get out for awhile. She likes deals as I do. I scored a couple of plastic "Diamonds In The Rough" at one of the flea markets awhile back and for dirt cheap.

Very nice indeed. I have a 59 Plymouth in my collection of "Crown Jewels"

She's coming together quite nicely. Can't wait to see what it looks like after it's completion. -
I got two crank calls one after the other sometime after 3 AM while sleeping.

Removing paint from one piece window unit.
John M. replied to John M.'s topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
It was a screw bottom model and it came apart with ease and the window unit wasn't glued in. -
Yesterday, I got a vintage 1961 Buick Wagon that I got from E Bay in the mail. It's nicely done and slightly hot rodded out. However, the windshield and back window that are one piece were painted over in flat black paint and I wish to remove it without harming both considering the plastic is over 50 years old. Any tips, advice or a line on a product that'll do the job is greatly appreciated. It's something that I haven't done before.

1/43 1962 Chevy ll 4 door ---cheap diecast before and after detailing.
John M. replied to rsmodels's topic in Diecast Corner
I like the attention to detail especially since it's in 1/43 scale. -
I'm with you on that.

I pulled the plug on my cable TV last year from Comcast whom I also get my internet service from. It was costing me $220 a month and I had base cable and Comcast didn't say nothing when I told it that I was laid off from work due to the Covid situation and I had to make a financial decision. Getting rid of the cable more than halved the monthly bill and I'm now only paying $95 a month for the internet and I've been back to work for a year now.

Two things pleased me today, 1) I lost my cell phone last night but I'm having another one overnighted to me via the USPS Express service thanks to my carrier Consumer Cellular. 2) It's Friday and I'm away from my school busing driving job for the weekend. Time to relax.
