  1. I'm with you on that.
  2. I pulled the plug on my cable TV last year from Comcast whom I also get my internet service from. It was costing me $220 a month and I had base cable and Comcast didn't say nothing when I told it that I was laid off from work due to the Covid situation and I had to make a financial decision. Getting rid of the cable more than halved the monthly bill and I'm now only paying $95 a month for the internet and I've been back to work for a year now.
  3. Two things pleased me today, 1) I lost my cell phone last night but I'm having another one overnighted to me via the USPS Express service thanks to my carrier Consumer Cellular. 2) It's Friday and I'm away from my school busing driving job for the weekend. Time to relax.
  4. Thank you for the lead Joe. Much appreciated.
  5. I bought one from E Bay dirt cheap that was a real glue bomb but it had all the parts I needed for a 40 Ford coupe that was made in the early 60s.
  6. Please delete this Mods.
  7. I'm reaching out to any modeler in New England who may have a line on upcoming model car shows in Eastern MA. and Southern New England in 2022. I checked the internet for any information and came up with nothing. It's been 2 years since I attended one due to the Covid outbreak. Thanks.
  8. I checked the internet for such shows and nothing popped up. I'm hoping my fellow modelers in New England would have a line on some upcoming shows as well as the vendors that'll set up shop at them. I haven't been to one since the 2020 Covid lockdown.
  9. I doubt it since demand for the company's aftermarket wheels/tire sets is quite brisks.
  10. I'm not sure if Atlantis has the tooling for the 56 Chevy or not. I for one hope so as well. Sorry it took long to reply.
  11. Three words, "I LIKE THEM"
  12. Along with a 1965 Dodge 880 convertible, I have a 1966 Dodge Monaco 2 Dr. myself. Both are not as nice as yours Tim but they're still quite decent. I wish that both could be put back into production by Round 2.
  13. A nice 1973 Chevy Caprice by MPC that I got off of E Bay arrived earlier this morning minus the engine and transmission. I've been trying to get one for years. It was a bit pricey but the car's condition convinced me to go for it. As for the engine and transmission. a junker 76 Caprice that I have will donate both to the 73 and both are nice like the car.
  14. My best car was an 1998 Oldsmobile that I had for almost 13 years. in 2018 I started to hear some serious creaking and groaning coming from underneath it, my mechanic found the front sub frame that was rusting out. The worst of it was coming from the passenger side where the sub frame was bolted to the main unibody. Sadly but for reasons of safety. I took the car off the road right there on the spot. It's replacement is a 1997 Honda Accord which after my mechanic evicted the mechanical gremlins filled the shoes left by the Oldsmobile quite nicely.
  15. Real sharp looking car Rich. I saw a 59 60 Lincoln Continental of yours earlier that looked just as good. The attention to detail on both is jaw dropping.
  16. Atlantis listed the 57 Chevy Nomad in it's 2021 catalog alongside the 57 Chevy 2 Dr. The Chevy 2 Dr. was green lighted for production but not the Nomad. I checked the company's 2022 catalog and the Nomad isn't in it. I'm speculating it's issues with the Nomad tooling.
  17. I've built Palmer kits from the early 70s but I never knew they were around in the 60s like your 65 Olds.
  18. I was just going to ask if the car had it's own chassis or was it going to need a donor chassis.
  19. That was my first car. Only had it 5 months before going into the Navy in early 1985. Paid only $200 for it in the summer of 1984. Decent on gas but the engine drank oil like crazy.
  20. While transporting the kids home on my school bus this afternoon, I saw a dust covered 1958 or 59 Edsel sedan on the back of a rollback truck that was turning right out of a side street that I was about to turn on. One of the older boys asked me what kind of car that was and when I told him, his eyes lit up brighter than Times Square at night especially on what year the car was made in. Just seeing it made my eyes lit up as well and put a smile on my face.
