  1. I watched his YouTube channel as well. Some of his other viewers are asking the same thing. Hopefully he's OK.
  2. In recent months, I've started to get into dealer promotional models and my latest one came in the mail yesterday from E Bay which is a blue 1967 AMC Ambassador 2dr. I also have the following. 1) A yellow 1968 Chrysler Imperial 2dr. 2) A red 1974 AMC Hornet 2dr hatchback. 3) A yellow 1965 Rambler Classic 4dr. 4) A beige 1976 Chevy Caprice 2dr. I'll be getting more over time.
  3. My 26 year old nephew got his CDL this morning and will soon be getting hired on by a trucking company driving a 10 wheel delivery truck. I asked him over my cell if he would be interested in driving a school bus and he gave me a big NO. I let it go at that.
  4. For anybody Massachusetts modelers who are interested. I scored great deals on some vintage built model cars last year from the vendors who will also be there. I'll be there again. http://www.classicplastic.org/CPMC-show-flyer-2023.pdf
  5. My school bus of choice to get the school kids home every Friday afternoon.
  6. I got through watching my favorite Green Acres episode that's entitled "Uncle Ollie" online that I haven't seen for a long while. After seeing Oliver's hip nephew Chuck souping up the motor in his uncle's tractor, I came up with an idea of making a used car lot style diorama using a few of my hot rod models and naming it "Hootervile Hot Rods" with Chuck as the proprietor.
  7. Thanks guys. And I agree with you both that The Toad looks better.
  8. Last year, I bought a built AMT 1957 Chrysler 300 from a guy on E Bay lives in Haverhill Mass. which is less then 30 miles from my house. Using the tracking number that he provided, I watched the car move through the USPS network and it arrived at it's facility in Boston. So far, so good Less than a day later, I found that it was shipped to Baton Rouge LA. and it sat there for three whole days before it came to my house. I contacted seller and told him what was going on and apologized for delaying the feedback. He was surprised as well.
  9. In a recent E Mail that I got from Atlantis, it listed kits that'll be issued in the fall and among them is the Tom Daniels Sidewinder. In a past thread, I saw a picture of it and before that, I never heard of it so I'm wondering if anybody would have any background information on the kit. I'm almost certain that it comes from the old Monogram tooling especially with the years long association that Tom Daniels had with Monogram.
  10. The level of detailing is off the scale Charles. Thanks for sharing it.
  11. School is back in session on Monday. I'm now going on 25 years of driving a school bus.
  12. I got some nasty glue bombs and nicely made rebuilders on the cheap from E Bay. I mainly use the glue bombs for parts. I was able to vastly expand my collection courtesy of the rebuilders. I never had the the skills to build really nice models that others here have.
  13. I've read reports that say it cost anywhere from $8000 to $10,000 to replace the batteries in the EVs and some hybrids such as the Toyota Prius. For half that much, sticking a rebuilt 350 Chevy small block and 350 Turbo tranny into any Bow Tie such as a mid to late 80s Caprice is a far better deal. I'll go with the latter.
  14. Thank you for sharing the photos. It's just me but old pickups and the patina that they have just seems to go together like peanut butter and jelly.
  15. I'm starting a four day weekend. The day camp run that I've been doing all summer wrapped up on Thursday but my school run starts next Tuesday. Until, then, I'm just going to kickback.
  16. The first day of picking up the school kids.
  17. He's a real Einstein.
  18. There would be lots of cheers if Atlantis worked out licensing deals with Ford and Chrysler like it did with GM.
  19. I got an E Mail from Atlantis and it says that the company is taking preorders for the 1920s chain driven Mack Stake Truck. It'll come from the old Monogram tooling and will even be molded in yellow and black just as the original Monogram issues were. With the hundreds of molds that Atlantis purchased from the current owners of Revell back in 2018, the company still has quite a few number of them to crack open and see what gems that are inside.
