  1. A 1965 Dodge 880 Convertible that I got from E Bay has arrived this morning in the mail. It'll make a great companion for the 1965 Dodge Monaco 2 Dr. that I got last year. Now I have no more display room but that's OK. I have all the vintage model cars than I've yearned for. ?
  2. I got an E-Mail from Atlantis earlier about some pre orders and a memo in it says the company has discovered the problem in kits like yours that were shipped and advises those who got the kits with this defect to call it and the corrected part will be sent out at no charge.
  3. Some reports say the total cost for the loss of all 4000 cars will run about $450 million.
  4. A full size 350 powered Chevy Caprice sedan from the 80s would be my choice.
  5. I haven't gotten anything today but I will be getting a built 1962 Rambler sedan by Johan on Saturday that I got off of E Bay. Ever since I paid off my personal debts last year, I've been buying vintage built model cars and trucks that I once couldn't afford. Now that I have the vintage models that I've wanted and on display, I have just enough room for a few more. ?
  6. These were the kits that got me into the hobby in the mid 1970s. It looks like Atlantis has signed licensing deals with both Ford and Chrysler.
  7. Glad to know that the entire crew was able to escape. The loss could knock on $300 million when it's all said and done including the cost to tow the ship to where ever it'll be finally towed to.
  8. I drive a school bus for a living and when schools were canceled due to the freezing rain in my area, I reached into my model kit storage and pulled out the 1/32 Chevy Nova that got from Atlantis back in July to build just to give myself something to do. I'm pleased that I made the call to buy it along with the 82 Camaro.
  9. I purchased a nice built 57 Chrysler 300 off of E Bay a few days ago from a guy in Haverhill Massachusetts which is less than an hour by car from my house in Everett and it was being shipped by the USPS. The tracking number wasn't updated for a couple of days until an update showed the car was processed in Shreveport Louisiana early this morning. The USPS can you know what things up. I don't expect the car to arrive until later in the week if the USPS doesn't mess up further. In the meantime, I'm keeping the seller updated and he was shocked when I told him via PM on E Bay.
  10. RIP Meatloaf. In addition to him, we lost Betty White 77, Sidney Portier 94, Bob Saget 65, Singer Ronnie Spector 78 and Comedian Louie Anderson who passed away yesterday at 68 all this month.
  11. I can't upload the link but I got a notification via e mail from the folks at Atlantis that they'll release the following cat kits for 2022. 1) Ex Revell 1957 Chevy Bel Air two in one with the multi piece body. 2) Ex Monogram 1926 Mack Truck. 2) Ex Monogram "Son Of Trouble" El Camino Funny Car. Ex Revell "Jungle Jim" Camaro Funny Car. In addition. the Revell 1957 Chevy Nomad Wagon found it's way to Atlantis according to it's brochure on it's website and hopefully it'll be in the pipeline soon enough. Looking forward to the releases of these classics. Mods. feel free to move this.
  12. It's wishful thinking but I'd like to see the vintage Johan tooling for it's model cars found and put the kits back into production. The ones on E Bay are commanding a king's ransom even the ones that are built. I was looking for a AMC Rebel Machine and I saw one that was built but it was painted all blue. However, the car was very well done and the price wasn't too bad so not being a picky guy, I bought it. I'm happy.
  13. A real nice score for $10 Geno. Even when used, Danbury Mint cars can go for a decent chunk of change.
  14. Welcome Joe. Lots of good folks here. Glad that you joined us.
  15. I'm not sure if it's due to the Politically Correct climate these days or a lack of demand for it but it's been decades since the Monogram Hangman Tow Truck was around unlike other 1/25 scale cars that were reissued. I'd like see it again and I'm wondering if it was among the tooling that Atlantis bought from the new owners of Revell back in 2018.
  16. Finished gluing and putting back together the the last of 9 built model cars that I got off of E Bay. One of them was a 1977 Dodge Monaco sedan that I had to use the tried and true kit bash method on to make it complete. It came out better than I thought.
  17. Nice score. Models cars that are dust covered are like scaled down barn finds and are the coolest.
  18. The tooling for not only the 57 Chevy made it's way to Atlantis but the tooling for the 57 Nomad as well. Both are listed in the company's 2021 brochure that I saw on it's website.
  19. Sweet. I got the Nova along with the 82 Camaro earlier this month directly from Atlantis. I put them aside as projects for a rainy day weekend.
  20. I got the Nova and Camaro earlier this month directly from Atlantis. I have them socked away for a rainy day or weekend.
  21. 1) The Dukes of Hazzard 2) Knight Rider 3) Airwolf 4) Miami Vice 5) The A Team
  22. Just got both the 1/32 scale 69 Nova SS and 82 Chevy Camaro from Atlantis in the mail today. They were cleanly molded and not a trace of flash. They'll make the perfect projects for rainy days. Hats off to Atlantis.
