I got my school bus card in the mail this morning from my state's DMV. Without it, I can't earn a paycheck. I'm ready for another year.

My paycheck from the week before last never got direct deposited last Friday so I went in yesterday to see why. It turned out it was a clerical error on the part of the lady who does the payroll and she apologized for it. I'll get the paycheck and one for the personal days that I cashed this coming Friday.

I'm glad that John was able to walk away from the wreck thanks to the strict rules and regs that the NHRA has in place as Mike 1017 pointed out. He's 75 and despite the accident. he won't hang up his racing helmet anytime soon. His daughter Brittany who's also involved in NHRA drag racing is said to have given out the biggest sigh of relief that her dad is OK.

That's the kind of school bus that I can use to get the school kids home every Friday afternoon.

I passed my DOT physical this morning with flying colors.

School is out for the summer as of yesterday so I have more than a week off to kickback before the summer day camp that I've been doing for years starts up. Meanwhile, my school bus will be in the shop for some well deserved maintenance work.

Things have been busy as heck at my school bus company for almost the last three weeks but it's quieted down this week. Besides the school runs, there was sports charters and field trips galore. Just one more week of school and it's vacay time for me.

I can't even log out of the site. Something real funky is going on.

Been waiting years for it but one of my late dad's favorite movies is on Bit Chute out of the UK. It's similar to to our YouTube and the movie is "Oceans 11" from 1960 with the original Rat Pack. I watched it with him a couple of times many moons ago and I'm hooked. I have it booked mark so I can watch it this upcoming holiday weekend.

Dumb me but I accidently stepped on the one piece stock front bumper and grille for my 62 Buick Electra convertible after I briefly lost it while reassembling the car. I tried to save it but it's too far gone. If anybody has one that they don't need, I'll gladly trade for it.

I don't have a TV. I gave it to my older brother after pulling the cable plug back in early 2021.

Work on the 62 Buick Electra convertible is complete. I'm just waiting on the folded top that Keef sent to me in the mail. A big thanks to him for that.

Need part secured. Mods, please delete this at your leisure.

Snake and I had a couple of friendly banters before and he was a real great guy. I enjoyed his posts some of which were funny as can be. He'll be missed on the board. RIP dude.

It's been 50 years since I last felt the 70s vibe but it hit me like a ton of bricks after seeing the van. Only one sums the van itself, "SWEEEET"

I was finally able to set up an appointment with my mechanic for Friday to have my trusty 97 Accord's oil changed and other other routine maintenance work done. His shop was going full tilt for over the last couple of weeks.

They look like the real things right down to the exposed metal where the paint has worn off from constant usage. SWEET!

Work on the 62 Buick convertible is on hold for now as I wait for a couple of parts. I turned my attention to a problem that I never thought I'd have. The bracket on my 72 Chevy Pickup was missing the tow post (Not the ball) that I was going to attach the recently acquired utility trailer to. I got a tooth pick and found that it was exactly the same diameter as the hole on the trailer's tongue. After cutting a piece out of the toothpick, I glued it to the bracket on the pickup and it worked. The trailer is securely attached it. I don't have photos to upload it to show but I'm sure you guys could picture it.
