I scored a built utility trailer on E Bay yesterday and dirt cheap. It looks a wee bit rough so It'll look good behind my equally a wee bit rough AMT early 70s Chevy Stepside PU. Here it is from E Bay.

The Ford is on it's way to a new home. Mods, please delete this thread at your leisure.

Opps, I wanted to posted this in the Wanted section. Sorry Mods.

The 61 Ford Convertible that I threw the towel in on is still available trade. It took a second look at at and it most likely good for parts. Only the most skilled modeler can tackle it. I'll take a built trailer in trade (Not one that's hooked up to a semi) or whatever built model one may have. I'm not really that picky. Here's the car as it appeared on E Bay.

I ran into a few of those errors myself and a couple of times, I'd be logged out without warning when I never did so. I hope the gremlins were behind it all were given the boot for good.

I'm gonna bump this one. I'll take a decently built trailer (Not one hooked to a semi) or whatever you have in trade.

The 61 Ford convertible that I got from E Bay last year is more challenging than I though especially the rusty screws. I though that they would come out with ease even with a good dose of DW40 but they're stubborn as can be so I tossed in the towel and putting it up for trade. Here's a photo of it from E Bay at the time I bought it. Looking for a built AMT Chevy Impala in trade but open to others. Thanks.

I'm mainly a collector but I have bought nice builds that needed parts to be complete. I have a huge parts stash that provided the necessary parts. I don't have the skills that members of this forum have.

I was cleaning out the closet in my bedroom on Saturday when I came across a small white box model cars are mailed in that was way in the back. When I opened it, a silver Johan AMC AMX promo rolled out of it and into my hands. I thought that I lost it when I moved to my current place years ago. With it, my model car and truck collection now stands at 127. It's among my favorites.

This week went quite well. Besides putting in some good hours at work, I had my blood pressure checked by my doctor at my local VA clinic on Wednesday and the both of us quite pleased. It's been the lowest that he and I have seen in months. Despite that, he's put me on blood pressure medication for good. I don't mind at all.

Happy 2024 everybody. I'll be spending this New Year's Eve putting a MPC Plymouth Volare back together as I watch a Three Stooges marathon on TV. Going to night clubs on this night in my younger days are very distant memories.

RIP Cale.

As a classic car nut, I from time to time watch videos about them on You Tube and the one below showcases the largest stash of vintage Detroit Iron that I came across. It's only the first. Even with 2024 just around the corner, classic American cars are still being found all over. Enjoy.

This is model related. The vintage AMT 61 Ford convertible that I got from E Bay awhile back needed more work than I thought so it's on the back burner for it for the time being. I don't have the skills that may here do. I though a real good clean up and replacement of parts was all it needed. I was wrong. ?

The jet powered school bus which is my transport of choice to get the school kids home on Friday afternoons will be laid up in the shop for awhile so I'm stuck with this slow poke of a clunker.

Happy B Day Carl.

Things have been hectic at work for me in the last week but I got an unexpected day off today. The school that I normally do my runs out of closed because the heating system gave out but from what I know, the repairs aren't that extensive and class will resume on Thursday. I won't get paid for it so I'll use one of my personal days that I've accumulated. Meanwhile, it's back to working on my vintage AMT 61 Ford Convertible.

There's no school today because of Veterans Day so I'll resume working on my vintage AMT 61 Ford Galaxie convertible for today and on Sunday. I'll be at a parade on Saturday honoring those who served our nation. I'll also get holiday pay from the Big Boss. USN 1985-1989.

Despite constantly asking my insurance company whom I insure my car through to drop it, I keep getting emails from the company encouraging me to claim a rebate on my car insurance for all of 2022 which amounts to (Drum Roll) a whopping 20 cents.

The latest addition to my growing promo collection arrived an hour ago in the mail. A Johan two tone blue over ivory white 1959 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight 4 Dr. with a signature of the late Bill Cosby on the roof that I got from from EBay. It even has the famous Johan smile which doesn't look all that bad. Overall, the car is clean and in real good shape.

Is it just me or are Verizon phone rates way too high?

Is it just me or are Verizon phone rates way too high?
John M. replied to Monty's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
The Bog Boss at my company has benefited from the cellular phone business. When I went to work for him, he issued Nextel hand held two way radios to all the school bus drivers and the service was fairly pricey. When drivers started to get their own cell phones, he concluded that why should he should waste money with Nextel when he and the General Manager could reach the drivers via their cells. He ditched Nextel and saved a bundle. He could also send one or two text messages to all the drivers at once. My own flip phone has texting features. Besides making the home land line phone obsolete, cell phones have also rendered the one familiar corner pay phone the same way. -

After I got my cell phone service and flip phone from Consumer Cellular several years ago, I jettisoned my Verizon landline phone service because it kept jacking up the rates. At the time I was paying $85 a month for it versus $30 a month for my CC service. The latter included unlimited calls and voice mail so it just made economic sense plus I can be reached via my cell 24/7 where ever I'm at at home or on the road in my car or school bus.
