  1. Thanks Larry, I appreciate the comment.
  2. Thanks for the reply Dave. The brush I used in this instance is the Mr. Hobby Procon Boy PS-290 that has a .5mm fan tip. My compressor is a dedicated hobby compressor with a tank. I really don't think there was/is pulsating pressure when I use it. So it likely comes down to the Mr. Hobby lacquer thinner to paint mixture that was 1:1. So it would seem everything was done right but I'm kinda thinking maybe 1:1 was not the ideal mixture.
  3. A lot of cool stuff available but geez, the extra processing fee and high shipping πŸ™„
  4. Well that sucks, it's the only mag I have a subscription to.😠
  5. Hi Dave, maybe off topic but since you mentioned "sputtering splattered" paint does low air pressure cause that to happen? Sprayed Mr. Hobby lacquer paint a couple days ago on the '57 Chevy I'm now doing and experienced a bit of that issue.
  6. The GS is coming along great Mark!!
  7. Wow Craig, looks awesome. Sometime I wonder why I use actual model paints when acrylic craft paint can be used with great result. Paint looks perfect!! Great job πŸ‘πŸ‘
  8. Darn cool build. Great job Dan!!
  9. Thanks Terry, hope you enjoy the build of the '37. Thanks Scott, appreciate your comment.
  10. Hey thanks David. I'm real happy with how the interior came out even tho it's more of a show car interior than a gasser. I'm calling this a streetable show gasser. Of course with those big headers it would attact a lot of attentionπŸ˜‚
  11. Thanks Mike. As for me, I'm a big Willys gasser fan but there were/are so many of them compared to the old Chevy. Thanks you Al!
  12. Thank you Michael...I did encounter some issues but yeah, it built up nicely. Thanks Jim, the taillights you sent worked out great. Thanks Bosco, I appreciate the comment from a "Dragsterguy"πŸ˜‚ Thank you Chris! Thanks Robert. As for the stance, it's just how it came out with tryingπŸ˜‚ Much appreciated Carl. Hope you doing well!
  13. Thanks my Friend...yeah I'm gonna keep itπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  14. I present to ya'll my latest creation, about 2 month build time. The color scheme is a bit of a tribute to my favorite college sports them, LSU Tigers. Paint is Createx Purple Pearl over Mr. Surfacer 1500 Black and Createx Gold Pearl. I actually did this paint process twice after stripping the whole paint job off when the rattle can Rustoleum Acrylic Lacquer Clear caused the paint to go to he!!. So after the paint redo, I went with Createx 4050 gloss clear. First time using it and not too sure I like it. With the exception of a few added items the build is my usual OOB. Wheels and tires are from Iceman Collections, the exhaust headers are from Ron Coon. A big shout out goes to forum members "ncbuckeye67" for the Enderle looking injector hat on top the engine and to "presnell" for the taillights. For some reason there weren't any in the kit. So here's a few pictures: As always, thanks for looking😊
  15. And this is me at 17 in 1964 with my Dad's second '57. Note the '58 wheel covers. No pic of the first '57, convertible that he hated because the top frames rattledπŸ˜„ #3 around 1967
  16. Looks great Tim, beautiful work πŸ‘
  17. Great looking Cougar Chuck, great job πŸ‘
  18. That is just beautiful Steve. As a former '70 Cutlass S owner the '70 is dear to my heart. Great build πŸ‘πŸ‘
  19. Super nice Dan. I always liked those Studes. Great work!! πŸ‘
  20. Ha, I guess I can stop building mine, hard to top the work you've done on this bad boyπŸ˜„ Great job RoosterπŸ‘
  21. Oh yeah DA, very cool looking '67. Nice touch with the red lines and Chevelle wheel covers!! Great jobπŸ‘
  22. I've avoided responding to this topic(heck I don't know why) but this is what I have to say. Been retired now a little over ten years. I stayed active and was doing just fine in spite of being in my 70's, until.....I got diverticulitis and had colin surgery needing the dreaded poop bag. Luckily I was able to have reversal surgery to go back to normal. Been downhill for me since then. Anyway, at least I still have modelling to keep me busy, but physically I ain't worth a cr@p. πŸ˜„πŸ˜Š
  23. Yep, it's a beauty. Great build Jason!! πŸ‘
  24. Looking great Joe. That's a very cool looking Luftwaffe aircraft!!
