  1. Bill, you sure do some interesting import builds.
  2. As usual good points Dave. Yep, a couple weeks ago when in HL, I went to the craft paint isle and I thought WTH, are they discontinuing them? The racks were 3/4 empty.
  3. Does have a tank. BTW Tom, I see you are near Chattanooga, I'm near (South) of Nashville.
  4. True about the spoons Craig not being enough surface area. Plus there really isn't much if any of a flat surface to make a good sweep.
  5. So is it normal then for the big pressure drop when I start spraying??
  6. I know this is an old thread and I'm too darn lazy to read the 6 pages but I have a question. I Does it matter if the compressor has a tank or is tankless? I have a Harbor Frieght pancake, I think 100psi and the pressure drops 10-15 psi as soon as I shoot the paint.
  7. Looks to me like the craft painted cars are smoother than the Vallejo painted Camaro. The brushed on future sure looks good. I tried airbrushing some Future on a few spoons and the results were less than acceptable to me. IDK if pressure problem or tip size. A spoon I had brushed with Future a while back looked a whole lot smoother than the airbrushed one.
  8. Cool look Thomas and great job on the resto?
  9. Very nice Lee?
  10. Beautiful Jim? My first new car I ever bought, '66 Black SS. Probably the next model build for me too after completing the two WIP's.
  11. Really nice build there Ken, I like the display setting too, very realistic.
  12. Thanks Jim, I'm plodding along with it. I'm gonna add side windows that I tinted (not revealing the color tho) but when I airbrushed them they kinda look like frosted glass?
  13. Looking great Jim. What clear did you use??
  14. Oops, looks like you used Folkart craft for the topcoat.
  15. Very interesting color there Jim. I started a Createx tread several days ago and it got pretty length but very informative. So since I have a Createx interest, would you mind telling me whichn of the Createx line you used there?
  16. Don't know if you tried again Michael, but it took 3 different paints.
  17. Thats true Robert, and thanks guys'.
  18. Partially completed body. Duplicolor rattlecan sprayed Ford Toreador red mica, polished, no clear.
  19. Well done Craig, interesting choice of paints.
  20. Nice build Wes, nice car but then again IT IS a TransAm
  21. Just me, I would have left it with the window frames. Do you have a picture of the car you're copying?? Just curious.
  22. Thanks Trevor. I know I'll never get even close to some of the stuff I see here and I know I'll never go all out but I guess there are times you just have to do some scratch building parts.
  23. Yep, I'm still working on this first scratch building (kind of) project. It's fighting me like crazy but eventually I'll get her done. A couple of interior tub pictures and the engine. I know the shifter I build is a bit large out of scale but I think it looks kinda cool. Used a sewing machine needle and map pin for the ball. And yeah, the shocks are bit large. By the way, the headers are 2mm Aluminum wire.
