Looks like an interesting model. I never paid much attention to '57 Chryslers (being a huge '57 Chevy guy) even tho a special car in that it is a 300. But that is a great looking car and will make a great build. I always chuckle when they detail the cylinder head mechanicals that you will never see after you put the rocker covers on. Good luck with it.

As a former 914/4 owner I complement you on that build. I always thoght the 914/6 would be a great drivers car because the 914/4 sure was fun but of course VW'esk power.

Some updates my build: I actually sprayed the body with Createx pearl gold but have not yet cleared it. There has been a long discussion on my paint choice in another section and as of now I'm thinking a steelwool "sanding" and a couple more base coats. The clear may darken it some (I assume) but I'm also hoping a couple more coats can't hurt. The Johan interior door panels are devoid of any detail so I added the woodgrain inserts. The dash ingraving looks good and I of course detail painted it. Well thats where I am right now, working on the engine and waiting for a couple parts to complete the engine Thanks for looking.

That PS 290 is on my Santa's wish list LOL. I hoping it finds it's way under my tree and if so, I'm excited to get to know it?

Well, I figured out he problem and this may be an issue with the Pro Shop kit but I really don't remember with the last one I did. It seems the dash was hitting the bottom part of the windshield, the extension that glues to the cowl. First I cut the extension off and tried it, Still was a problem so thats when I lowered the dash. And what do ya know, it solved the problem. So on with the damage rerpairs and completion.

Thats true David, but I just couldn't leave it alone and I think I have figured out the fitting issue. At least I think I know why it won't go all the way down but now I have to work on the fix. Update to follow ?

Such cool looking GTO's back in the day. Someone else on the forum is also building one, actually two if I recall. Gotta put mine on the "production line".

I was diagnosed with it about a year ago, I didn't know why my hand would feel swollen and tingly and oh the pain when waking up in the mornings. So far the pain part (after wearing a brace for about 5 or 6 months has subsided but I still have the swollen tight feeling. I've heard the surgery and rehab is rough so pray I won't need it. Good luck Ron on your recovery period.

Great post with the website Keith. I've been looking for something like that for some time now.

Model just keeps fighting me.....or I'm just not good enough to do some things. I air brushed side windows (transparent Testors) for tint and, well lets just say, they came out kinda OK. I installed them with some issue of course. So then, trying to mate the body to the chassis, and no matter what I do It just will not go all the way down. And of course in the fighting with it damaged a delicate PE trim piece, knocked another PE piece off and lost it (I know now never again to put delicate parts on until last), popped off the firewall and knocked the engine off its mounts.? So close to boxing it all up and putting it aside for a while. But, its my nature to finish what I start. The exception may be now LOL. Thanks for listening to my rant, feels good to get it off my chest with fellow modelers.
