  1. I just happened to look at this thread myself. Georgoeus work on a pretty unusual looking Porsche body. Gotta get me one of those (the model that is?)
  2. I'm thinking this qualifies for this thread.
  3. So Hobby Lobby apparently doesn't carry the 4050. Only Createx clear was 5604 Gloss Top Coat on the Createx website says "semi-gloss". So I bought this at Wallyworld. Anyone ever used it??
  4. Back to this Createx discussion. Since Hobby Lobby only has the 4050 clear, has anyone used this with good results. This thread is so long I don't see if this was discussed. Sorry if it was. At any rate , going there today so I'm guessing either that or rattle can Model Master clear.
  5. Keep those pictures coming, I love this thread. ?
  6. Exactly what I use but I find if you let a glob of it completely dry the glob or small smears won't come off or remains visible. I have that problem right now on acetate side windows I installed that now look like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. Just sayin' LOL. Maybe I put it on too heavy tho.
  7. Treat job Chang, everything is beautiful?
  8. Your '71 Ford Andy.....falls in the ultimate "sleeper" catagory.
  9. Greg I use a pointed toothpick the way you use the needle and as you said, the darn nozzle on the glue bottle stops up so yeah, gotta poke it with a needle.
  10. Thanks Patric, I actually did glue strips on both sides and it came out good. I'm gonna try to get a picture on here a bit later.
  11. Peter I thought that I should mention what glue. I like to use the Super Glue brand sold at the Dollar Store. Dries real fast but soooo many times I wind up with a drop of glue on a finger and invariably touch it on the paint Grrrr. Maybe I need to use a liquid glue but does it dry fast??
  12. Great and good looking collection Mike.?
  13. Welcome Bob to best forum on tne 'net. Lots of helpful and supportive good people here. Addictive!!
  14. Love the paint job and the color Bill, and the big block engine looks great so far.
  15. Welcome Shawn, it's been addictive for me. Nice models, especially love the blue paint on the Mustang. Enjoy.
  16. Kind of off topic here but instead of a new thread, need suggestions for a safe glue applicator that just dispences a tiny amount.
  17. Looking great TJ.
  18. Thanks Dann and Jeff. Got my Morgan Detail wired distributor in and rubber tubing for the radiator hoses so now I can get to work completing the lightly detailed engine.
  19. Looking forward to more pics of this cool looking Porsche. I have to decide a color for the 911 club sport I have to build. I'm leaning to a pearl shade of blue.
  20. Thanks Jason, hoping the extra coats and clear will really make it "pop"
  21. Very interesting video. I don't usually watch long videos but couldn't resist looking at this one. So many colors, pretty amazing.
  22. Wow that is one great looking '57 Chevy (Wow to the paint job) and the coolest looking Stovebolt 6 I think I've ever seen. Thats a lucky guy LOL.
  23. Waaay cool John, beautiful work?
  24. Looks like an interesting model. I never paid much attention to '57 Chryslers (being a huge '57 Chevy guy) even tho a special car in that it is a 300. But that is a great looking car and will make a great build. I always chuckle when they detail the cylinder head mechanicals that you will never see after you put the rocker covers on. Good luck with it.
