  1. Thanks Dann, gonna plug away at it. I don't do fast?
  2. Seems like every time my wife and I go to Dollar Tree (as if you can get out of there just spending a dollar LOL) I buy at least 2 bottles.
  3. The 4-4-2 "restoration" looks great Snake Richard?? Now make that GTO proud!!
  4. The first hood does it for me. Looks great Sebastion!!
  5. Beautiful job Chang. I recently got his kit to build myself but haven't started it yet.?
  6. Faaaaaaaan-tastic!!!! Charlie, you da master?
  7. Jeff, I would like to see the pictures of the '71 CS. Painting the exterior the right color (or as close as) and having the hood with the stripes and proper taillights will be satisfying enough for me. I will build the 72 Convertable at a later date, but it will wind up being a '70 LOL using the bumper and grill from the '70 kit.
  8. They are Eric. Hey, I like the '57 in you're avitar.
  9. OOPS!! Forgot to post the picture.
  10. Thought I show the undercarriage with EVERYTHING moulded in. And Guy's I'll gladly welcome any tips and advise (and critisisms) as I go along here with this project.
  11. Cleaned up the flash and some additional cleanup. Also removed the moulded in 4-4-2 emblems. Primed it to check for any addional clean-up.
  12. This is my first post building as close as possible a replica of the car I ordered new in 1971. It was a Saturn Gold Cutlass S (not 4-4-2) I ordered with the W-25 force-air hood and Dual exhaust. This is being built using two kits, the '70 JoHan 4-4-2 kit and the '72 Revell '72 Hurst Olds Convertable Kit. Interestingly enough, the '72 hood (with just a little messaging fits just fine on the '70 kit as do the front and rear bumpers bumpers. The '72 rear bumper is needed on the '70 body to more replicate the taillights of the '71. The 70 JoHan kit has more flash on it than any model I've built so far. Also it has the front and rear suspension, differential, exhaust and gas tank moulded on the underside of the floor pan and the interior lacks any detail on the door panels. The dash seems pretty accurate tho. In a nutshell, it's a pretty basic and I must say crappy model kit, but hey, It's all I have to work with and I'm not skilled enough to do much scratch building.
  13. Although I'm not a big Mopar fan, certain cars just have "the look" and your's is one of them. Beautiful engine, cool car. ?
  14. That is one beautiful big Pontiac. Love it Mark.
  15. Well, this is an interesting topic. Not being specific for me though are '55 and '57 Chevy kits, Porsche kits (I got my first one for my Birthday last week), '66 SS Chevelle (have one waiting to be built like my 1st new car purchase), pretty much any GM Muscle (including Drag cars).
  16. Thats true Steve. I think i am still leaning toward the Scale Finishes now for the Cutlass. But, since I'm going off tomorrow I might buy the Createx gold and do some experimenting. With the 40% off its reasonable and I could probably use it on something else less important if it doesn't work out.
  17. Got these last week from Kris. Top quality, very nicely detailed cheater slicks.
  18. Definately an interesting and unusual subject !!!
  19. Lovin this, gonna be baaaaaaaad azz Porsche Dan!!!!
  20. Sorry, I'm not great at posting pictures yet, especially resizing. The tires are great. I did use the same ones on the Nicholson '61 Drag car.
  21. Still working on my '57 and have a lot done but nothing I'm ready to share in pictures yet, but I did get these rear tires from Kris, Great quality with black resin.
  22. Dave , I don't see on their site the size of the bottle of paint; do you know?? It appears they have the color but its not called Saturn Gold.
  23. It does look interesting, any '57 Chevy is to me.
  24. And another thanks to you Guys, a lot to consider?
  25. Looks great Tim, I really like that red and the wheels are right on for that car!!
