  1. Love it. Been arguing with myself whether to get this kit, I think I've decided, yes! Nice colour.
  2. wow, now I really like that! I love the colour, great dashboard detail too. The first kit I ever built was the '69 442, can't remember who by, it was a 2in1 I think by Jo-Han. Great looking build, man, very nice.
  3. Thanks, Phil. Kind words, I appreciate it, thank you:)
  4. I highly recommend it. When I saw the style and how basic the kit was I thought there's no way I can make this look good, I was very wrong! It wasn't until I started painting and foiling the car that all the curves and detail started to show the potential this kit has. If Round2 did some re-working of the chassis and engine bay they could be on to a real winner with this one!
  5. Beautiful build, very accurate looking kit. You've done a very nice job of this, love the old Datsun Z's.
  6. Very nice, one on my to do list for sure. I've built the stock version and it's a very good kit.
  7. Looking good.
  8. Thanks, Stephen. Yes, it was a bit of a riot in WIP! it was great, haha. Lots more builds coming and everyone's invited so who knows:)
  9. Thanks, Mike. He's on the lookout for a notorious gang of hijackers;) xD
  10. Thanks, Kyle. There's enough info in that WIP thread for anyone doing a vinyl roof an any car I think! Lol
  11. Cheers, Chris.
  12. Thanks, Carl.
  13. Looking good. Nice clean work on the dashboard.
  14. This is the 1971 Bird of Paradise Thunderbird by AMT, a very psychedelic looking car on the box art but can be built to look like one posh looking bird! When I started this kit I went in to the build with very little enthusiasm, but as it came together I really started to enjoy this one. I was going to go with a set of wire wheels but the custom wheels that come with this kit look so much nicer. As with most of these old promo style kits the engine bay was lacking a lot of detail, so I added plug wires, brake lines, a master cylinder and heater hoses, they're not accurate to the real car but this was my first time going into this much detail. This is an extremely basic kit and super easy to build, it even comes with a fake engine plate to fill in the hole underneath to build curbside. The chassis is moulded as one piece with only the exhausts and axle being separate but the mould details are excellent and can be picked out very easily. With a nice set of wheels, a vinyl roof, and the right paint colour, this is one pretty neat kit and shows the old promo style kits are not something to be sniffed at. No fit issues, it went together perfectly. On to the next one:)
  15. Finished up last night and I have to say, this is one pretty neat kit. Thanks for following along, I'll post more pics in completed section.
  16. Looks amazing, I like the little crank handle on the front. Those vertical flames are nice, looks like a bathtub being warmed up by fire, haha!
  17. I like that! It looks like it was brush painted with some household paint fifty years ago and the paint has been slowly flaking off since. I brush painted a 1-1 car years ago and about a year later it started flaking and looking almost exactly like this!
  18. Nice and bright, I like it.
  19. Interior finished. I cut out some wood effect sheet for the door pull trim and the dash clocks. I also decided to change the automatic shifter for a manual four on the floor. All that's left now is to put it all together and post some pics in completed section:)
  20. Very nice work, crisp looking interior and I like the body colour.
  21. wow, that's some serious detail, it looks amazing! Top level skill, very well done.
