  1. That's one gangster looking low rider! Nice paint, looks like there's a bit of purple in it.
  2. That's a looker! It has a lovely stance to it. Very nice.
  3. Was there a kit ever made of that Fiat 127? That would be a nice one to build.
  4. ohh, that looks really nice! Excellent colour choice and the detailing is spot on, especially under the hood. Very nice build
  5. oh yes, I forgot about the Capri and Viva! I even owned a 1972 mk1 Escort with square headlights,
  6. Welcome to the forum, JJ. I only just started building again too since I was a teen, now 42. My first build a few months back was a quick blow over with aerosol paint, even the interior was all one colour with no detail picked out. After looking through this forum and picking up a mountain of tips I'm getting close to some of the builds I've been envying over. There are builders here I can never even hope to come close to, but I'm not aiming that high. I feel I'm close to where I want to be, each build is an improvement over the last and a boost for the next. Keep it simple to start and you will improve with each build.
  7. Beautiful build there. The interior is very nicely done and paint looks great, very nice.
  8. They look great, very nice builds.
  9. That's true. We were still producing the Austin Mini up until 2001, a car barely unchanged since 1959!
  10. That's nicely done. A hot rod is something I've yet to build too.
  11. Good to know. Thanks, Andy. It's another kit I'd like to build again for sure.
  12. ah, ok. In the UK, square headlamps in the 70's was an unusual sight. Our Ford Transit didn't get square headlights until 1978, 13 years into production. The similar Bedford CF almost entirely unchanged from 1969 right up to 1988!
  13. That Chevy van looks very modern for 1976? Weren't those stacked headlights an 80's thing!
  14. Thanks, Ricky. The only negative thing I found is the front and rear valance are part of the chassis plate and not separate pieces, but easily cut off, and the front valance should be chrome on the '71 model. The body and underside is very well detailed but extremely basic, being such an old kit I can't fault it in any way.
  15. Cheers, man.
  16. Thanks, mate.
  17. Very nice, great looking build.
  18. Looks amazing! I drove mk2 Transits like that for a haulage company years ago, looks like one of my drop offs! "Just dump it there mate" haha!
  19. The size of the windscreen is actually correct then? my bad. That windscreen brow is High! Looking at the scratch build compared to the real car I'd say it looks fine.
  20. I can see what you mean there, the top of the frame is too high, the roof needs to curve down some, that will narrow the windscreen without having to lower the whole roof.
  21. The interior is looking amazing. Great work on the rear lights, I never noticed to be honest when I built one of these.
  22. I don't really know anything about them but are fun to watch. Seeing them kick out the back end almost loosing it on corners and then regaining control is something to see.
  23. Very nice, love the name of the paint, haha! I'd love to build one of these but so hard to find.
  24. Looks amazing, and those wheels look perfect on this. Great looking interior and I really like the paint. Very nice.
  25. Nice clean build, looks great without the side panels. I love the wood inlay.
