  1. Thank you all for kind comments
  2. Ooops Sorry It is 1/25 / Gunnar
  3. Re question above: It is 1/24
  4. The MPC model, an old one The decals of the pinstriping wwere not possible to use, so it is plain yellow, the left front wheel somewhat distorted including one of the spokes broken, but managed to push backto position. Almost. The right front fender was also distorted downward/inwards. Again some determined pressure etc.... Almost Anyway a nice kit to build EDIT : apparently something strange in the first post, despite looking ok in my computer when posting The photos apparently were transferred to some long text files /"links"afterwards, though i found it was actually possible to see the photos by clicking on a small symbol which appeared after clicking on the long text files. Did it in another way now, hopefully it works now but the first photo is small for some reason / can´t enlarge it Anyway...
  5. Soooo beautiful How did you create the upholstery pattern ?
  6. Nice!
  7. The 1959 Ferrai 250 GT coupe by Pinin Farina The first Ferrari built in a regular production process, though still in small volumes. A very beautiful car in a restained way, no flash , just very elegant, a design with nothing to add , nothing to take away.
  8. The best. Enough said.
  9. Beautiful
  10. Beautiful build
  11. Quite a project = full of admiration for the outcome
  12. Beautiful build of a beautiful car. which is a bit under the radar of classics
  13. @e30lover Agree with you, the front right reservour must be the overflow tank Thanks for clarification
  14. Concerning the two reservoirs, checked on the net. Seems the "washer bottle" could be installed in either position, left or right. = Revell have in the kit implemented both. Would certainly result in considerable milage before they would have been empty, probably lasted half a winter.
  15. Beautiful Rolls posted by Richard, have never seen. The Pocher Rolls posted by Jo equally attractive, though in a quite different category. Thanks both.
  16. Agree with all the comments above: Superb Question : in the engine bay there are two rerservoirs (light coloured) One on the left side near the battery One in the front right corner One of them is the for the windshield wash system (assume the one to right) If so, what is the other one ? Reason for question: am now building the same kit , but white (And on a different level)
  17. Thanks for the idea Richard Actually quite similar to the process used; chassis with engine delievered to a body manufacturer. Though I still think it would be appropriate with a model of a specific actual Rolls Town car, the history around the infividual cars or models is often quite entertaining. And the Rolls Town cars are for me the archetype of this kind of car. It would be a natural complement to the cars you mentioned plus a few others availble, like the Heller Hispano Suiza Anyway, will consider the idea of combining kits.
  18. A traditional Rolls Royce town car 1925 -30 in scale 1/24
  19. Beaitiful both of them The SWB from the Italeri kit ?
  20. Beautiful
  21. Should add that the colour is the one the kit was molded in. Just polished a little. Before the build, I searched the net and found a nice one in this colour scheme (for sale) with extensive and useful photos.
  22. The AMT kit Received helpful info from Greg, Bill and Håkan. Thanks. Unfortunately I misread the instructions concerning exhaust system for stock version = now it has dual pipes. perhaps would give some extra pep... In general aquite nice kit to build , though in it must be said, that the location of the front axle pins into the front suspension , the front end of the engine and the position matching of the exhaust pipesfront end to the headers was not the best. But with determination ..... Thanks for looking / G
  23. Thanks for the link. That was verry much to the point, everything clear. Gunnar
  24. All compliments to this build as well as the other two you posted Concerning your comment on the wheelbase : From various net sources, incl the Ramchargers very entertaining homepage, my understanding is the 2% cars were the ones used in the Factory Experimental class in in the -64 season. Late in this season -64 Dick Landy (and perhaps other independants) started to use more radical wheel base modifications. In the -65 season the factory cars in the A/FX class had the 10/15 " wheel base. This particular Eckstrand Golden Commando participated, as I understand it, with the stock wheelbase in its sole appearance in the AHRA Winternationals -65, perhaps in the Stock class, thererafter perhaps to be rebuilt to the 10/15 execution ??? These are my humble conclusions , with a significant element of uncertainty, being far away from the center of action. Would be nice to have confirmed alt corrected, as I have the same kit in the stash for future build.
