  1. Not quite today, but last weekend. Been competing strongman for a year now. Didn't start lifting serious weights until about 3 years ago, at 42. Took first place in Master's class at a local competition. Felt pretty good. Trophy presentation and lifting a 215# atlas stone.
  2. Two days apart in a small town here in WI. Not common at all.
  3. Great save on that body, way to stick with it. And I REALLY hope the next paint job goes well for you.
  4. First ride was a 1983 Chevrolet Caprice Classic wagon (in my avatar). First car I owned was a black 1995 Pontiac Grand Am.
  5. Great looking color, hope the paint job turns out well so you don't have to strip it.
  6. Good to see you found the fix. Always nice when its easy like that.
  7. The ride height looks low enough, but still practical for driving to me. Top of wheel to wheel opening arch front and back looks nice also.
  8. Great looking Camaro. Color and detail look very sharp.
  9. Are you going for the "gasser" look on the box art? Or low custom?
  10. Looking forward to this. Great wheel/tire choice, stance looks perfect and the wheel wells look nice and full.
  11. Amazing paint job. The chassis detailing is very nice. Great build.
  12. Nice clean build. That purple is dark and deep, very nice. Glad to hear you found a solution to the glass issue.
  13. Turned out very nice. That orange color really pops. I really like that big ol engine stuffed in there.
  14. Turned out real nice. Love the green and black combination.
  15. Looks good, hope you get the windshield sorted out.
  16. Wow. Its always amazing to me the power of wind. I am guessing that shed is not supposed to be in the middle of the road. Sure hope no one was hurt. Stay safe in the clean up.
  17. Mine was a young model builder's club 1/32 (I believe) Ford Mustang. It came with an F-16 kit also, in a plain-ish brown box.
  18. Reminds me of the timing chain failures on the GM DOHC 3.6 VVT engine. Chains were "stretching" with as little as 10,000 miles.
  19. I think the "toy appearance" stems from the lack of depth in scale. A good wash will add that depth and give the chrome pieces a better, more scale appearance.
  20. Found this at antique store for $10, still factory sealed. Figured it will be a great test bed for the new airbrush.
  21. Are the Createx line of paints ever on 40% off? If so, is it the same rotation as models? Thanks.
  22. They look right at home on those trucks. Nice builds guys.
  23. That means I have to buy another kit, as I don't have any of those in the stash. Darn it all, off to the hobby store I go.....
  24. Thanks guys. I guess I am baffled as to why a model company would make molds with parts not useable on the kits they are included with. Maybe the tree started life as something else? The other parts are in-line six stuff and some custom pieces, and a FREBIRD license plate thingy. I am sure I will find a use for them somewhere.
  25. These wheels are on the chrome tree of the AMT 69 firebird trans am kit. What would they be for? The rally type wheel option on the tree has 5 lugs. They look to me like something off a 90s Blazer.
