Pontiac 301 Turbo
The Creative Explorer replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks again! Jordan, I did found that picture, and it helped me a lot. I was hoping to find something similar for the passenger side. I need to know where the dipstick goes and where the temperature.sensors are. -
Pontiac 301 Turbo

Thanks Jordan, But I really need pictures of the engine outside a car, and then all around. And I think they are hard to come by. -
I just started working on the 1/8 Turbo Trans/Am and the engine could need some more detailling. So I spent the last 2 days trying to find good reference material, but I can't find good Engine pictures. What I need is pictures of the engine, out of the car. So Side, bottom, front (back). Who can help me out? Everything is more than welcome, Thanks, Erik

Chris, I used Jammydog tape, the come in really thin tapes, I used them to mask a pattern and airbrushed a own mixed gunmetal on top of my own mixed egg-plant-ish color.

Another project that got finished last year. A new Revell Black-Widow kit, for once and I really don't do it often, but I went all stock on this car. Paint needs to be improved on this one as well, but it was one of my last rattle-can builds.

Thanks everybody! I am too pleased with the result with this one, although I still have complaints about my painting-skills, but I do hope to improve them. @Chris(coller): The wheels are like Chris Mentioned from Aoshima and I got 'em from HLJ.com.

Here's one finally to show. I got this one last year done just before the IPMS nationals and it won silver in it's class.

Call me weird, but I like the Akonian way over the present Lambo's. With this concept, you think automatically countach, Diablo. That what Lambo is so gamous of; making amazing different looking cars. With the present ones, I think marketing. The Reventon was heading in the right way. This will bring Lambo back to what it was: exorbitant! -
I've been watching TopGear ever since the beginning. And until season 10-11 it was just too good. I think the show topped at that point, especially with the occaisional challenges. Now, they try to repeat it too often. They should make it less often. Other than that, the humor is still typical British and they have a very good concept. Is there any other carshow that is watched this good? Just too bad Fifth Gear passed away because of TG. I watched TG for the fun, entertainment and for the exotic cars. Next to that, I watched FG for info and entertainment. Gonna miss Plato and Needell....

Building has been very slow lately, not a whole lot came from my hands and I just moved to another country. I got behind on basically everything and I lost my modelling interest, due to lack of motivation. I quit my other job to start with a new company, better paid, company car, less hours...But even before I could start, they cancelled the contract. So I am now at home unemployed, which stinks. But I finally found the motivation to start modelling, my first build in the new home is a Datsun 240ZG, but that will follow soon. At the moment the paint is hardening for polishing and I started a quite ambitious new project. About 10+ years ago, I started the Dan Fink's speedwagon, but due to paint issues, it never happened. I kept the parts, but lost them over time. Now I only had 4 parts left and decided to use that as a starter for my own car. the '32 Speedtruck. I started with cutting the roof and because I wasnt happy with the cut-off line behind the front door, I made a sloped angle roof, that way the passengers have a bit more room and it looks a bit moderner. For the engine, I thought of the Chevy 283, with the unusual front blower option. This will make it more look unique and for the wheels I was thinking the 5-spoke cragar wheels.

The problem for Gregg is that making a magazine into PDF cost him a small fortune. I believe the costs are near 1,000 per issue. For example; let's say he puts for the last 5 years on a cd-rom. That would be around be around 30,000 for all the issues, plus the cost for 'designing' the CD-ROM ( user interface and such). Let's say that would be around 2,500. In total: 32,500$ for 5 years of magazine's. Now a realistic number of people who would be buying a CD-Rom. And this is hard, but I think it would be somewhat realistic for about a run of 1,000 pieces. If you break it down, you have 32,50$ as cost per CD-rom, now Gregg wants to see some profit. Let's say he makes it even to 45-50 dollars, also to cover part of the risk of being stuck with unsold copies. Now we have a CD-rom with the last 5 years worth of magazine's for about 50 dollars a piece. I don't think it is all that interesting to risk quite a investment.

This is my very first ride: A 1984 Renault Super-5 1.4 GTL with single Solex carb, fun to drive. and quite reliable too. Got wrecked, bought a '87 Corolla, big mistake. After that I basically only had Renault's, but my most fun one is a 1988 Renault Super-5 1.4 GTTurbo -

not completely, Mercedes owns AMG, so you can say that AMG is like M-sport(BMW), Abarth (Fiat), Quattro (Audi) etc...etc... -
