  1. Makes me wanna toss all my modelling stuff out of the window, i feel amateuristic this is just sick
  2. different product, different targetmarket. Would you drive 10-20 miles for a $1 burger? You need to see and keep things in perspective. As for the whole thing; I kinda sympathise with Chrysler, but I am for sure not that feeling bad about GM. It seems to me that Chrysler is working harder to make it work, e.g. the deal with Fiat. But in general; the big 3 have been making the wrong products for a very long time. American people are quite patriotic ( no offence, since I am not using it in a negative way ). If and where possible, people from the U.S. rather buy products from the USA than imported products. But. There is a reason the American People let grew Toyota and Honda big..(and the other imports ofcourse)..That is because the big 3 just simple did not offer want they really wanted. And on top of that, the big 3 basically produced cars that were only being designed and engineered for the North American countries. For example; in Europe there is hardly a demand for US-originated cars. So the market the big3 have to live on, is the North-American one, where Honda and Toyota build cars that can be sold worldwide ( with a few exceptions). And the worst thing in this whole story is that actual people, like Joe the plumber, are the ones that getting the bill and consequences. That part is the part that bother's me most. Families that getting into debt, because daddy got fired.
  3. If there is a kit made of this car, it is going to be a 3 door hatch.
  4. Happy Birthday George! Have a good one
  5. It isn't a LeCar, this is the newer model, the LeCar was a Renault 5, this is the Super5 ( or Supercinque). With started at 1983. But yeah, i love it. How about we swap haha I want the stuff over there. I might go and live there for a few years, so I am interested in a '68 Olds Vista Cruiser, they are so incredibly cool!

  7. Ok, I am sorry, no big USA metal over here. My car's are made in France. My daily driver; A 2004 Renault Megane GrandTour 2.0 16V Privilige Luxe, smooth ride and it runs on Propane-gas! And my fun car, although I have been driving it for four years now; A 1988 Renault Super5 1.4 GTTurbo, it has a tiny engine, but it does bring 130BHP and 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds. Which not bad for a trolley-cart
  8. Hi Dave, Hahaha, no that wasn't my girlfriend. She was a lady that I lived with, with her husband, for 6 months in Battleground, WA. She was very supportive in my hobby, and I gave her a 1/8 Jag as present. I am sorry, but I don't know for sure if I am recalling the right person, but I do remember I was talking to someone, standing next to me while the Awards were presented. I didn't got a lot of awards, but I was/am proud on the street-class winner, with the '64 GTO. And yes, we will meet on the 18th, and I will bring my girlfriend this time haha Although I will be jetlagged a lot, since I just had a 30+ hour day and maybe 8 hours of sleep. I will arrive in Portland on friday the 17th around midnight. So go figure, but I just want to be there and see some MCM friends
  9. Really nice car Dave! I remember when I was at the N.W. Car collecters show in the expo in Portland. Maybe we've even seen that one. I don't know if you were there when they handed out the prices, but I had a few myself. It was funny, I had to pronounce my own name all the time. And a lot of people didn't believe I actually came from the Netherlands haha. I remember yours got best of show there.
  10. A long time again since the last update, but she is basically ready. I need to do some detailing and glueing the cars firmly into place and I am done. This are a few pictures of what happened after I dropped the case: And the finished (basically) case: I will make some better pictures:
  11. I was hoping the '36 kit was going to look like the picture they had on their website. I think this was looks very good, and not like the common '36. But appearantly, it is going to look like this:
  12. Finally, after a long, long while I am being able to post something here again! whoohoo! I hope you enjoy these pictures, I surely did enjoy building this part of car-history. Even though it is a tricky build, all the details make up for it.
  13. Since the last pictures will take a little longer, I will post some more pictures, just for fun ;-) I hope you will enjoy, and when you got a question/comment, please share.
  14. Heya Rod! I'll catch up with the e-mail soon, need a bit time there. haha. Well, the PE louvres are looking pretty sweet, I am glad they are in there and they are being put together quite easily, I didn't expect that. Are you starting to regret you send that one over the pond? Well, at least you got some nice ones heading your way soon too
  15. Thanks, No, even though the kit is quite comprehensive, I added quite a lot of aftermarket stuff. The kit does require more detailling to really come to its beauty.
