Great work all around Bob and excellent attention to detail as with all your builds. I never tried the Rust-Oleum chrome but I'll have to pick up a can and try it out for myself.
  2. Excellent work and the extra details really complement the build. And I really like the blue which isn't frequently seen on these Chevelles.
  3. Awesome paint work and the LED lighting along with the operable wheels make it seem like the actual car. Always liked the mid 70's versions in orange.
  4. Thanks Bob. And much appreciation again for all of the kind replies.
  5. Very nice Camaro. I like how you detailed the grill.
  6. From rust to dust and torn seat covers the weathering on that Nova is as good as it gets.
  7. Terrific shine on both models.
  8. Excellent work! Don't see these too often but always a pleasure since I always considered '87-'88 the best looking Aero Birds.

  10. Thanks Gene you and many other commenters are too kind. Much appreciated.
  11. Thanks again, but to be fair there are enough times I've had to repaint bodies using the rattle cans. With an airbrush I'd probably have more control thus greater consistency.
  12. That is amazing! The level of detail in the interior and trunk compartment are top notch. Paint color is very appropriate and the the foil work is clean.
  13. Thanks Will it's actually straight from the can. I don't currently own an airbrush but may get one eventually.
  14. I hear you. Didn't think twice of selling cars when I was younger that decades later I regret no longer owning.
  15. That's true and I wasn't even thinking of the box top when I chose the color.
  16. It's a very nice kit overall but I found the final assembly to be easier by installing the chassis into the body without the frame attached. I also had to shave the edges of the door cards to get the interior to fit inside the body.
  17. Thanks Gary, I tend to evaluate builds after I complete them to see where I could improve.
  18. Built from the most recent reissue of the 1/25 scale AMT '70 Monte Carlo and painted in Dupli-Color Ford Dark Toreado Red with Rust-Oleum clear. While the exterior color is similar to Black Cherry available in '70 the Claret interior wasn't intended to match any factory offerings. I foiled the section that spans the rear tail lights in an effort to mimic the appearance of the '72 (minus the black accent stripes) but in hindsight it would've been better to have used a matte foil. And I cut strips of black vinyl to create the accent stripes along the lower body molding and used .007 clear lay film for the marker lights. Now that I've photographed the model it's become apparent that the accent stripes are clearly too wide and out of scale. I also opted to use the Turbine wheel covers from the AMT '70 Impala versus the kit's Rallye Wheels.
  19. Very impressive rework and black vinyl tops look great on those cars.
  20. Impeccable build and a wonderful tribute. Also impressed with the two tone seats.
  21. Can't go wrong with that color combination for that era. Looking forward to eventually seeing this one Under Glass.

What a beauty! I like the monochromatic bumpers particularly in that shade of gray.
  23. Absolute beauty. And a very striking color.
  24. Stunning work and a great deal of admiration for all of the modifications in creating the Beaumont. The unique color combinations from that era were very cool. I can recall seeing a '67 Chevy at a car show in Butternut Yellow with a Turquoise interior.
  25. Excellent work on both Pontiacs. I'm really impressed with the overall accuracy of both bodies. And props to the supplier of the decals as they look excellent. The Pontiac 400 was still putting out respectable horsepower for the era. Appreciate the insight into the issues working with resin as it provides important information should I decide to make the investment in one of these kits. As a Colonnade fan 3D is the primary source.
