Very nice build David. Paint and trim work neatly done. It's a good looking model overall. I was hesitant to pick this one up since I'd heard there were fitment issues.

Top notch work and excellent attention to all of the details.
-
Truly a work of art. As highly detailed a model as I've seen yet.

A couple of spectacular builds. -
Great work and sharp looking color combination. Good information on trimming the dash for a better fit.

Thanks Trevor, Larry, and Jeremy. I normally use factory wheels but I plan on using the Hurst wheels on future builds since I have a few more '66 GTO kits.

Excellent build and amazing free hand work on the roof. I have this kit which is still unbuilt and I wasn't aware of the body color around the bezels. I'll keep that in mind when it's time.

Another great example of this kit. Was friends with a guy who drove one of these during our senior year. Only difference his had a white interior and I can still remember the thick pile red carpet.

Perfect color on the right car to create a sleeper. Excellent work as always. -
Another great looking build. After seeing a few finished examples here I'm impressed with how nicely this kit builds.

Thanks Robert. Next time I want to do foil under paint for the fender emblems. I also felt the "427" numerals could have been better. Thank you Michelle, James and Donato. Thanks Hanjo, Chris, and Darbo. Yeah, it's a nicely detailed kit that's a pleasure to build. Thanks Tom, Jeff and David. I thought the Hurst wheels would be a nice change. Thanks David and Mario. It's slightly darker than Marina Blue which I always thought looked best on these cars. And it's definitely a matter of catching the sun at just the right angle. Thanks L M, Lee, David and Jeremy.

Built from the current reissue this 1/25 scale '67 Impala SS-427 has been painted in Tamiya TS-54 Metallic Blue and cleared with TS-13. The Hurst wheels, sprayed with a couple coats of Tamiya smoke, are from the Revell '66 GTO since the chrome was less than stellar on the kit wheels. And I managed to install the wiper blades in the proper order this time.

Paint color and clear is looking beautiful. Are you applying the Tamiya clear in light or heavier coats? Just curious because I've had the best success with Tamiya clear applying it in light coats over Tamiya TS paints. I have a couple of these kits and following this topic am definitely looking forward to building them.

Very nice build in a great color. Looks very similar to Bahama Blue.
-
Great looking build Anders. That is one of my favorites from the old AMT promo style kits.
-
Excellent work and I've never tried Coral Blue yet. I'll have to get a can.

That is a truly beautiful build and excellent interior detailing.

Thanks Samuel and Donato. It's a very nice kit that's a pleasure to build.

Superb example of this kit. Nice work on the block lettering at the edge of the hood. -
Spectacular work as always and I'm really impressed with the Mr Super Clear Gloss and the Tamiya paints used on the seats.

Thanks Rastislav and David G
