I've done a few of these (all factory stock) and its one of my favorite AMT promo style kits. While pretty basic on many levels it certainly builds up nicely. And I'm also in NJ working on builds painted last summer/fall while definitely looking forward to warmer spring weather when I can paint outdoors again.

Very inventive and clean looking build.

MPC 1968 and 1969 Annual Charger Double Build!
AMT68 replied to doorsovdoon's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Lol...you couldn't resist another Charger. There's something really neat about picking up the old vintage kits. -
Oh, you're right I wasn't thinking. This is a different version than the one you've successfully completed multiple times.

That's as gorgeous a paint job as I've ever seen in the last four years since I've gotten back into the hobby. Every time I think I've seen your best you manage to take your work to another level.

Color and clear look beautiful. Super work on the engine compartment detailing on Gareth's favorite kit.

Thank you James, Craig, Anders, and Gilles.

That is really neat. Nice work.

That is absolutely gorgeous. The paint fade looks great as does the metallic roof. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thank you David, Dan, Rastislav and Steve. I picked up another can of this color and look forward to using it on builds next spring.

Thanks Scott, Ricky and Ryan. I enjoyed detailing that interior since it was so well engraved. Thanks Trevor, four years ago when I got back into the hobby I wouldn't even attempt foiling but like with everything else I've learned to be patient.

Very impressive work.

Revell 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda 1/24 Scale in Metallic Gold.

That's a very sharp looking build and your foil work around the wheel openings look perfect. I continue to be impressed with the exterior colors you produce with the mix of acrylics. -
Thanks Jeremy, David, Joe and LM. I took the liberty of painting this one gold despite the fact it wasn't a factory optional color that year. Thanks Lee, Mathias and Dennis. Thanks Mike, I've become more patient with each build. and try to focus on all of the details. Thanks, Dave, Eric and Mario. I like the way this gold looks in the late day sun. Thanks Harry. I will say the interior is probably the most detailed from the manufacturer of any model I've done the last four years since I got back in to the hobby. Thanks Samuel and David G Thanks Bob. The interior is Rusto 2X Warm Caramel and I've used it with a couple of dark blue exterior models. Now I don't know if that color is still available but fortunately I have about a full can left. Thanks Bob. I used thin strips of blue tape as guides when foiling the wheels openings and couldn't have done them without that technique that I learned here. Thank you Jim and David.

Excellent work and the wheels are well suited for this model.

Great job at replicating a '74 GA and I always enjoy seeing the Colonnades. That color resembles Golden Olive from the year before.

Built from the Foose kit this 1/25 scale '65 Impala SS has been painted in Tamiya TS-21 Gold and cleared with TS-13. I left the vertical grill pieces darkened to create a more horizontal theme as it's a look I've always liked and correct on the '67 Impala SS. First time building this kit and aside from having to flex the front glass in slightly while the glue set I didn't encounter any significant fitment issues. I lost one of the turn signal lamps while installing it in the lower grill and replaced both with cut pieces of clear lay film which was painted clear orange. I hadn't noticed the engraved "Turbo-Jet" vee-flags prior to painting the body but realized it when I went to install the "Turbo-Fire" 409 decals. I went ahead with the decals and while it's not that noticeable I'll have to decide on my next build (picked up two of these kits upon completion) whether to pre-foil the engraving or sand it off and use the 409 decals. Even though the engine appears to be the 396 mid year replacement. I've got to be more careful with those small details.

Very clean build and that TS-92 is a great color that works on cars from a variety of eras.

Top notch build and a great color choice for that era vehicle.

That's is really sharp. Great work.

Paint and decal work look great. The detailing on the instrument panel also stands out nicely.
