  1. That turned out beautiful and the color is great on a vehicle from that era.
  2. Great looking foil and decal work.
  3. Thanks Cliff, it's become one of my most favorite colors.
  4. Well there is one I've never seen and an exceptionally clean build.
  5. The base coat is lacquer. Can this particular clear be shot over enamel? Generally, I'd say no but then I've never experimented with it over enamel.

    66 G.T.O.

Great looking build and color for that year. Nice detailing on the rear tail lights with only the horizontal lines being highlighted. That's something I have to correct with my next '66 GTO.
  7. What a magnificent shine. You beautifully detailed what I imagine was a rather basic interior bucket given the era of the kit. Great work as always.
  8. Very nice build and the interior detailing is great. I've seen that color at the home center but never on a model and I like it.
  9. That built up beautifully Mario. I have one of these kits and have put off building it due to the fitment issues you've described. Now that I understand what assists in the final assembly process I'll be more eager to build the kit.
  10. That's a great looking paint job.
  11. Thanks Jim and Bob. I found patience is the key with foiling. And I'll get a certain amount completed and then leave it alone for a while.

    57 Chevy

That build looks beautiful and in a well suited color. What base did you use under the TS-58 and was it clear coated? I've used this color in the past and while it's looked nice, I much prefer the look on this model.
  13. Great looking paint and trim detailing.
  14. The brightwork looks excellent. Very impressive build.
  15. Thank you Carl and David. The trim lines on this model are molded very cleanly and makes for easier foiling. Thanks Roger, I've taken quite a liking to this red and with it have done a few models. Thank you Al, Phillipe and David.
  16. Thanks Roger, there's no need to post a photo I can understand how to modify the pick from your description.
  17. Interesting concept and an idea I hadn't considered. Some sort of guide to keep the scribe of choice from wandering.
  18. How did you modify the pick? I like the part about no wandering outside the panel lines. I'm comfortable scribing most panel lines but the more tightly radiused corners do pose a challenge for me at times.
  19. It's an extremely clean build with excellent detail work.
  20. Thank you Anders. Thanks Alan. I've included a picture of the can and I get it at the home center. I like it since it holds up pretty well to more aggressive wet sanding without burning through the finish. And I polish it with Meguiars Scratch-X.
  21. I love it! Great work integrating the semi fastback roofline into the MC body. Looks like you've also adjusted the panel line on the trunk opening to coordinate with the shape of the rear window. I was always a fan of the louvers on the Lagunas rear quarter windows, and they work well here along with the hood louvers from the Camaro. Definitely a one-of-a-kind build.
  22. Great looking Bel Air and the clearcoat is super smooth.
  23. Another stunning build Craig. If I ever get an airbrush someday, I'll have to try these paints as you've developed some awesome looking colors.
  24. Is that Testors Turquoise over the black base coat? While the Bonneville looks very good with the white primer that GTO appears to be a color I'd be very interested in replicating on a future mid '60's build.
  25. Great looking Plymouth.
