Time to get back to work on this build, engine and details are up this episode. All the bench squirrels are resting after all their furious activity over the last week or so!šæļø Iāve been sidetracked a fair bit due to the weather here not being fit for painting.

Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!

Sometimes primer unfinished mockups look better than the final colour finished versions! -
Insomnia sessions at the bench yes I know them well, sone of my greatest inspirations have come from a sleep deprived brain.

Looking great John. -
I have always had a soft spot for the Laguna.

Finally got the parts all together for a tribute build! The āiron trap garageā Delorean roadster. Should go together pretty fast once painting weather hits. https://www.hagerty.com/media/maintenance-and-tech/watch-this-hot-rod-get-the-revival-it-deserves/

Itās funny that was one of my grail kits til I learned how bad its designed
-
If it was the early edition they probably scaled out at 15
-
The stock wheels were a 17 inch
-
I have no idea what size they would scale out to be, the ones from the 5w are about 2cm across. They look the part though

A shot below the belt

At least itās not a Plymouth!

@LennyB thatās pretty darn good man!

And here I thought making a coil would be a difficult thing sheesh
-
Thank you Len, those are your squirrels now!

I have a chopped windshield to go on it, working on a stripped interior and other up/downgrades haha, flathead will be a must as well as a handmade exhaust. Still on the hunt for a set of stock 34 wires as well! **edit frame may not be used here! **

1932 ford pickup truck
Bullybeef replied to Bullybeef's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Moving along with the chassis and drivetrain! The lengths we go for scale accuracy can be a test of oneās patience and eyesight! š¦ all the tiny holes are drilled and now to have a couple cups of strong coffee to get the hands shaking to make a complete mess of this! Seriously kidding about the coffee. Iām using the small block ford from many of the Revell line of 32ās, a fair bit of dechroming was done and a set of cobra valve covers from the parts bin(last set too). -
Just looked into them, with the exchange plus shipping and the lead time⦠they do look great but Iāll have to find a different alternativeā¹ļø

Oh you say that now lol, little ******** appear out of nowhere and create chaos on your bench!

And now I want to listen to the Wall!
