  1. It is my endeavour to gift you bench squirrels! 🐿️ The 5W will have a moment in the sunlight soon. It’s currently at the Deuce works.
  2. I’m liking the direction this is going!
  3. Well that’s awesome, thanks Jim!
  4. @customline Jim could you show a closeup of your exhaust clamp hangers?
  5. Thank you Phil, I’m waiting somewhat patiently for your next installment to drop, I’m sure yours looks awesome, feel free to add any pics here that you want 😊.
  6. Thank you Zachary, some of these mock ups were started within the last 4 years. I restarted the hobby in 2020 and I learned it’s sometimes good to flesh(plastic) out the ideas if you can. This hobby like any other take time and dedication. Best of luck! Lots of great resources here https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/forum/8-model-building-questions-and-answers/ and here https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/forum/4-tips-tricks-and-tutorials/
  7. Would love to see the flathead fever articles!
  8. Love it all Bob, to me that’s the perfect stance.
  9. Can you resend? For some reason my inbox is messed up
  10. An update of sorts, I pulled the whole fam damily out of boxes and had a look at their current states. The station wagon and delivery van both need a complete rethink. Roadsters, did I really start that many? The monogram one is slated for a faux-vivor rebuild of the original little deuce/son of ford. The black roadster is going to be a post war hot rod complete with flathead power. The 29 pickup is very close to a complete state so that may get some attention soon. The other white roadster is a 97 release on fenders from a 5W that needs some attention( I think someone did that and showed the corrections needed) dark blue roadster is the new release roadster that got abandoned. 33/34 pickup was another recent late night do I have enough to build it sessions. And lastly the Art deco 40 project that started with a full head of steam and the ideas stopped germinating. The current pair in work are the 32 pickup and the 32 3W.
  11. I already have a short bed truck, the idea here is to create a stock length representation of a 32 pickup, slightly hotrodded. You can see in the attached photo just how long the bed overhangs the rear. I appreciate the ideas and please pull yours out of its box, there are so few examples of them in scale. I’d like to see what you have done with yours.
  12. Exhaust looks good there Jim! Sometimes the late night sessions produce the best results!
  13. Yup that’s the little bas****
  14. I made my k member from an amt Vicky frame
  15. Well let’s see how far I get along with this before I fudge some details haha.
  16. Wow Len, can’t beat that kind of reference material! It’s like you are a celebrity builder now.🙄
  17. You think I sleep?
  18. @DJMar the lines on the bed that I am using are very faint(almost non visable) so I think some 1/2 round or 1/4 round stock may be able to replicate the reveal line a bit.
  19. I do like that colour on there Jim.
  20. @DJMar I guess I’ll have to cross that bridge once I get to it. So far I’m still in a base mock-up visualize how it looks status.
  21. So now I’m waiting for some warmer weather so that I can get some painting primer laid down on the body parts. The forecast is below 0c for the next week or so☹️. In the meantime the friggen bench squirrel has been visiting 🐿️. And I have news that a long awaited new project will be shipping to me fairly soon.
  22. Well this little truck has found its way off the shelf of maybe onto the bench of let’s get it done. Fresh mock-up with some corrections, this one may be a quickish mostly oob box build for suspension drivetrain. The big focus will me in the visual department of making it look like a 32 instead of the 34 that it actually started life as. So to list the corrections 1. Modify the cab to remove the reveal accent line on the back. 2. Change to a 32 frame. 3. Change the sheet metal for the hood/cowl. 4. Change to 32 fender units/adapting the 34 rear pieces. 5. A ford drivetrain of some iteration. I know some are not a fan of the rolling stock from the original roadster but i feel they will definitely give this a semi modern hotrod feel. Again I’m going for a sheer visual look so the drivetrain will most likely not be traditional.
  23. I had completely forgotten about this, I’m still looking
